When staying at VWL do you

still walk through the main lodge to get to the boat or when coming back from the boat dock?

There is just something about that lobby. We usually take the long way and walk through the main lodge lobby unless we are dog tired.

Not then but I always make sure to walk through the lobby several times. I am mesmerized by that little erupting geyser under the bridge, so I have to watch that frequently. And although I wish they had a Diet Coke station at the villas (actually would love this in my own room!), I do like seeing the lobby when I go to refill a mug!

coming back we get the mugs refilled - if the weather is bad we go through the lodge - otherwise - swimming pool short cut....

We always take the shortcut too. There's just something about coming around that bend and seeing the quiet pool.....that's when I know I'm home!

My DH likes the pool shortcut but I never miss a chance to go see that beautiful lobby! I tell him to meet me at the dock.

I really had to think about this, but yes, we would go to the lobby whenever possible, unless we're dog tired. We're not with children, and so we can indulge this little pleasure without hearing complaints.

We do both, but I will say that we do often detour through the lobby.

For one reason, it never fails to inspire and give us a feeling of being "home".

For another reason, we always go to WDW in the summer and that gives us much more of our journey inside the air conditioning!

We take many many detours while at VWL. We enjoy all the routes to and from the villas. And we find many reasons to go the the main lodge during our stay. We just love that place!

I LOVED our first visit to WLV's in January. I tried to talk my DH into adding on there, he didn't go for it. My kids loved the lobby, I imagine as large as it seems to me, it must seem MASSIVE to them. (DD 6, DS 3) We would let them pick what "path" we would take. It was about 1/2 by the beach and 1/2 through the lobby to "follow the river". I would love to own there, WLV are definately my choice to our home resort BWV's.

We'll be staying at VWL the same week! It's getting close! I love the lodge too, and can imagine that we will take the "short cut" to the boat.

In the mornings (when we are anxious to get to the parks) we go directly to the boats as fast as possible.

On the way back, we love to go through the lobby. My 6 year old son particularly....he tries to get us to stop at the arcade!

We only go to the lobby if we have "business" to take care of.
DH and I really, really, really, really love the VWL/WL!

We dont do this everytime while going to the docks but we do go through the lobby a lot. We dont need much of an excuse to go that direction
