When should we ride 7DMT?

We have 3 MK days planned, staying off property those days so no EEMH for us. When do you think waits will be the shortest? We like the ride but don't want to wait 30 minutes for it. I will still keep trying for FP, but there are 9 of us -may be difficult to get.
Our choices are:
1. Thurs. Oct 24 during MNSSHP - we will be arriving at 4 & stay until 12. We will be doing parade and fireworks. Maybe during first parade & plan to watch 2nd parade?
2. Sun Oct 27. We will get there by 7:15 for 8:00 open. How long will the waits be if we go straight there with EEMH already occurring? This is a party day, so thinking crowds will be lower that day.
3. Wed Oct 30. We most likely won't make it to the park until 9 or 10 due to big day planned on Tues.

I have had luck recently watching fireworks behind castle and ready to go to Seven Dwarfs immediately.

We had about a 20-minute wait during MNSSHP. We went during the first parade if memory serves me...

Try 1, if can't catch it then, go to 2-but expect a 30 minute wait unless you, uh, walk really really fast! The queue (once you get inside) is interactive and very cute though-one of our littles complained that the FP didn't let him play "those fun things,"

I would say 1 as well, possibly 2. We did EEMH in mid Sept and the wait was 20 min at 7am but the wait crept up to 45 minutes by 8am (but we had a FP and did not wait at that time). My kids loved the interactive queue.

I'd start with 1, then 2, then 3 - if lines look too long during 1 and 2.

IMO, if you happen to see a standby wait of 30minues, that is about as short as one could ever expect to see posted for 7D.

Then again, especially late at night, posted wait times tend to be highly inflated. If you see a posted time of 30minutes, the actual wait will likley be less than that.

Also, the standby queue is pretty cute. They removed one of the better interactive elements, but there are still several fun parts.

With a group of 9: when you get to the interactive spinning barrels (in the standby queue), use the power of your collective group to spin all ALL the barrels at the SAME time! Even better, try to recruit helpers as soon as your group reaches the first 2 barrels! Surprise!

On a recent visit...one day of our visit the throng descended on 7D in a matter of seconds. Pick the hub exit that heads toward the Cheshire Café. When the gate opens, stay in the throng as they pass the café and Pooh.

On another day of our visit, we went by 7D about 15minutes after RD, and the standby line was only about half as long as it was the first day! Overall crowds were a little lower that day, but not very different. It was just a bit odd how the wait was vastly different just a few days apart.

We like to hit 7D immediately after the fireworks show, often finding a 10 minute or so wait.

We did have to wait 20 minutes once, but that was less than a week after the ride opened in 2014.

1 and 2 should be similar - if you have a lot you want to do at MNSSHP, I’d do 2. Expect it to be posted between 45 and 60 but to wait 20-30 (assuming you were near the front of the crowd).

The queues are never short. People have given you some good strategies, but don't be surprised to have a long wait. We as offsite visitors thought it was cute, but not worth the line and the only time we could get a fastpass was during fireworks we wanted to see. It is a nice little ride that is fun for all ages. As we have done it a few times, we skipped it on our last trip and we be skipping it again on our trip in February. (With DS (who is 24 by the way) agreeing to skip 7DMT and Peter Pan, it was so easy to have a touring plan with no long lines last time and the same will be true for our next trip too.)
