When should we go?

If you could go anytime...when would you? (outside of going over holidays to see the Halloween/Christmas stuff)

When is that magical time that would blend nice weather, smaller crowds, and few refurbishments? If you didn't have any scheduling restrictions for your family - when is that sweet spot?


(yep, I do know that there are no slow times at Disney - just wondering what people think the optimal time to go is).

I think it also depends on your definition of nice weather. If pool time is a must then early May.

If you hate the heat and don't mind wearing sweatshirts then Jan, Feb or early Dec.

Thanks for asking this! I have been wondering the same thing. I have been leaning towards our next trip being in May. We've been the 2nd week in May in the past (without kids) and we had a great time.

We went the week before Thanksgiving last year and it was amazing. BUT I think next time we go, I would like to avoid free dining...if at all possible. It doesn't make sense for my family, and made it so very hard to get into those places we were interested in. The other thing that was hard was working park days around Early Magic Hours AND party times. I think I may try to push for early May when it's time!

Very end of August through the first week of September. Low(er) crowds means that the HOT weather is bearable.

We have never been in May, though, and I think it would be fun to see the Flower & Garden stuff in Epcot. Maybe that will be the next trip (thinking 2018).
