When should we expect DME tags?

DH, DS, and I are excitedly waiting for our upcoming trip to the World! We leave on May 18th and have booked DME... My question is -- when should we expect the DME tags to arrive? I thought I read somewhere that we should receive them six weeks prior to our arrival date -- we're currently closer to four weeks. Should I give DME some more time or should I give them a call?

if you booked through DTC, yes, i would have expected them by now, but i wouldn't be panicking yet either (you're closest to 5 weeks actually, i should know, my check-in date is may 17).

if you went through a TA, it would have gone to them, so you may wanna check in with them on it.

or you can call DME directly and just confirm they have you set up for it.

Yes, we booked through DTC... I'll go ahead and give them a call just to confirm we still have reservations.

I just wanted to let you know i talked to my mom earlier and she said our special luggage tags and special savings package came today!!! It was long awaited but it finally came, now all we have to do is pack and wait for May 12 to come!!!!

~Wish, we are leaving the 12 and got our tags on Monday and we got our special savings package w/the special luggage tags today...so be patient, i know its hard tho!!!!

We leave for WDW on May 19th, and the tags arrived yesterday! Woo Hoo!

We received our tags last Sat. we leave for the world May 23. We went through Disney.

What about if we booked through Southwest Vacations? Can we still call DME directly with our SWV reservation numbers?

Chances are that DME won't discuss your reservation with you since the travel agent "owns" the reservation, not you. Try it, they may do it, but if not then you have to call your travel agent and have them contact DME for you.

If ANYONE has DME questions and is within 60 days of their trip, I strongly urge them to call DME directly at 866-599-0951 rather than calling the Disney Reservations Center. The DME CMs are DME specialists and thus they can answer DME questions better than anyone else.

But prior to 60 days before your trip, DME doesn't have access to your reservation info in the database.
