When should one contact a member for renting points?

This might get moved but it seemed like the best place for this post...

We have a room-only reservation at Pop Century for 10/28-11/04, but we started looking into renting points from a DVC member. It looks great! We want to stay at the Boardwalk Villas as it seems the best for us for cost and location.

How far in advance do we have to/should we find a member concerning renting points? We're at the 3 month mark right now and it seems like we are pushing it a little. I don't know.

Any help or hints/tips would be so appreciated!

for this yr it's a little late. the times you want to be at BWV are also the times for the F&WF. totally booked at BWV and BCV. you need to find someone with a ressie already that they want to rent out. or someone to waitlist for you.

for future visits you should try renting at 11 months and no later then 7 months.

but you never know ,you could still get something at a wks notice.

go to the rent board and put in a request for the time you need and good luck
