When should I join DVC?

My DH and I went on a Disney cruise last year and attended the DVC presentation. We weren't able to join at that time due to financial reasons. Now we have the money to join and want to know when.

We have heard that the incentives are better if you join in Orlando or on a cruise versus joining over the phone.

Any thoughts or experiences? Thank you!

don't think they do it that way. could be wrong.

now not sure about the cruise - they may offer a better deal on the cruise.

would say before the next price increase.

if the building next to cr is in fact a DVC - then would expect at least one raise before it is announced, and then another after the two months when current members get to buy.

We kind of have a rep. I emailed the one that we met with on the cruise, but he hasn't written back yet. We haven't had any contact with him since the crusie, which was over a year ago.

I would call and get on the phone with someone as soon as possible. The prices aren't going to go down. If it was me, I would monitor this board for a few weeks to get a sense of what has worked - and what hasn't - for people. Play around with the point totals on the point charts and see which # fits your vacation goals. From what I gather, the deal they have going on now is about as good as has been offered as of late. But definitely talk to your guide.....but run anything by this board before you sign on the dotted line.
