When should I get there!?

I am surprising my 10 year old with a day at Universal/IOA to see all things Harry Potter. We will be ubering over from Disney All Star Movies resort. I’m used to lining up super early for Disney, but have no clue what time I should plan to get to Univeral! Any tips? When should I arrive for an 8am opening??

I'm wondering the same thing. I go in 3 weeks and unsure of what time to show up for 9am opening.

You should be pulling up by 7:30 at the latest and you should have your tickets in hand already so you aren't wasting time in extra lines. If you won't have your tickets, arrive by 7. Even better would be to go over on an evening before your Universal day. Get the lay of the land for arrival, Citywalk, park entry so you are more relaxed on your 1 park day. Hit the gift shop for a Harry Potter lanyard while you're there and get in a fun game of mini golf.
