When should I expect to get Membership cards?

My wife and I recently bought a resale property. We've closed and Disney has sent us our Vacation Planner package (big book + 2010 pts chart) but we haven't received membership cards yet. We got the Planner book this past monday, how long should I expect to wait before also receiving the membership cards?

It could be up to 8 weeks for them to arrive. If you are travelling to WDW before they arrive, the DVC sales center at SSR can make cards for you.

It's not a "Sales Center" it's a "Preview Center". Disney doesn't sell, they Guide you and you just become members.

We just bought into DVC in May through resale. It took about 4-6 weeks for our cards to arrive from the time of closing. Hopefully you will be getting them soon.

If you haven't called them yet (MS number is in the planner) to get your number, you can do that, and also get your activation code to get on the web site (which is a little difficult to use -- just keep clicking on all the links and "drilling down" -- i.e., it can take a while to stumble on the link that you can use to buy your discounted annual pass, if you want one).

MS = Member Services (tons of new acronyms to learn).
