I'm new to this forum and have already found so much information. We are travelling August 24 -Sept 3. In previous years, when is the best time to book a car. When do new codes roughly come out for summer. We already got a good sale through Air Trans out of Rochester. From what I've read National seems good with their EA program. Our flight arrives at 4:30. If we use EA with an intemediate size will there be lots of potential upgrade cars left or will they most likely be gone.
Thanks

#1 You can book a rental car now and cancel it later if you find a better rate. I did this half a dozen times last trip. There is no cancellation fee. Grab the first decent rate you see and keep checking back. Last August I ended up paying 184.10 with national for a week, all fees included.

#2 EA is hit or miss. We arrived at noon on a Wednesday and got a full size Impala. No SUV's. Basically it is all by chance on whether you will find an upgrade there. We were actually loading up an intermediate when the attendant dropped the Impala next to us. I grabbed the keys, unloaded the intermediate and loaded up the Impala. It was a nice ride.

Have fun.

Hey Dreamer, check with Alamo as well as National for low rates. Also you can check on Mousesavers.com for special codes that usually cut about 10% off bill. I would recommend making a reservation to confirm that low rate if by chance it goes up. With Alamo, a reservation can be made with very little info, only name and email I believe. No deposit necessary, which is great. I keep checking the websites for lower rates but I doubt they get much better than what we have now. We will be in WDW from May 24- June 3,,a total of 11 days for car rental, full size even (grand prix) , for a whopping $256. How bout that!! Hope this is useful info and not trying to brag about thoses rates but those are outstanding. Of course our flight from Indianapolis are $137p/p. Not bad either, getting excited about the MOUSE.

Mouse-Ears to all!!!
