When should I book HDDR?

We are definitely doing HDDR on our next visit.

We will be going on one of our 2 full MK days. 4:00 show works best for the kids’ schedules.

If you had to choose, would you leave MK for HDDR on your first full park day or your last full park day?

There is a chance we would return to MK after the show since it’s early, but it will
be dependent on how the kids are holding up.

I am leaning toward the first full park day, just because then our last full park day is totally MK focused.

But ... HDDR also seems like a fun and festive last day activity. We usually do it in the middle of our trips and that won’t work this time. If we go to HDDR on the last full day, we will probably still go back to MK the next morning/afternoon on our departure day to get our last MK fix.

So - would you do HDDR at the beginning of the trip or end of the trip?

First day, because you know you'll be back at MK and you'll have an advantage for "better" FP+ at the end of your trip.

I was originally going to suggest last day, but after reading your suggestion, first day makes way more sense! And its the perfect way to start off the trip!!!

I couldn't imagine going back to MK after 3 Yuenglings, two pounds of fried chicken, a few ribs, and more strawberry shortcake than should be humanly possible in my belly. I'd pick whichever day makes more sense to take a dip in the pool and a hot tub after. We'd all be happily snoring by 9pm.

Go on your first day. Allows for more flexibility on your second day at MK.
