When schools in is it off peak

I know that Sept/Oct and after thanksgiving are off peak. Is it considered off peak also when schools in? I know in different parts of the country school gets out at different times. Im now looking at April 9. Our Easter break is at the end of March and Spring Break at the end of April. We're in NY.

Spring breaks vary so widely across our country, that's a hard call for determining "off peak" as far as crowds go. But if you're asking in terms of pricing, I suggest trying one of these websites, just to get an idea of when prices are lower/higher www.allseastravel.com and www.vacationstogo.com

I like using those sites as a reference point, because they list the date/price right on the site.

A lot of schools here are on year round schedule, with half the kids in school, and half out year round.... and more importantly so many folks on Disney cruises are willing to pull kids out of school for vacation, not sure school schedules are a good way to decide what is peak and off peak. I can understand the lull between Thanksgiving and Christmas, since so many people take time off for those specificl weeks, the weeks in between may be off peak.

My DD's are on spring break April 9 and we will be cruising then.
I also have been wondering if that is peak time!

Well, I'm guessing it won't be peak season. That is an odd spring break week.
Easter is early this year, spring break for the public schools and colleges here is the week March 21, and for Catholic schools it's the week of March 28. So the week you're taking is two weeks after.

My son's school break is week of April 11, we are in Redmond Washington. Our spring break is the same every year - not dependent on Easter at all. In fact, many of the school districts around here have either this same week off or the week after. Based on a poll somebody put together last year on the resorts board, it looks like spring breaks tend to start in mid-March and go all the way through the 3rd week of April. And, it's pretty much evenly distributed.
