...what is there to see around the resorts? We will be staying at the Pop Centry, and we will be arriving there in the afternoon, so we wanted to know what we could visit? We'll be going to the parks the next day. Thanks in advance :)

We went to DTD, and toured a few of the different resorts, Animal Kingdom Lodge, etc. At DTD there is a boat that takes you to POR and back, its free and a cute little ride down and back. Hope that helps!

well gammapro if you are going after Thanksgiving visit the resorts. The decorations are fantastic. You could also visit Downtown Disney.

Actually if you haven't seen some of these resorts like the Animal Kingdom, Wildernesss Lodge, Grand Floridian, boardwalk, beachclub its worth going even if its not decorated for the holidays. These resorts are beautiful and the details in the themeing is great

Any where you go on the grounds of Disney is a treat for your eyes. DTD is breath taking. You do not have to even step in side any of the stores to be entertained. Have a great time and stop and smell the roses you will find those are the best times when you get home from your vacation.

I would recommend a visit to the Boardwalk - great for a walk around in the evening and the ESPN sports bar is very good.

Do you have a car? If not, why not just settle down at Pop? Enjoy a nice swim and an early evening to get you ready for a fast-paced day?

If you have a car, check out the Boardwalk/Beach Club area and have dinner at Beaches and Cream. They have the best burgers on WDW property, IMO.

Do you have a car? If you do - and you're visiting during the holidays, I would suggest a dinner ressie for the Grand Floridian. The resort is beautiful during the holidays. You can also hop the resort monorail for a spin around the resorts (Poly, Contemporary, and GF). Ask for the front car. It's a great way to start a trip.

We always enjoy an evening at the sing-a-long and then watching a Disney Movie at the camp ground. It is free and fun. Chip and Dale make a visit, and you can take or buy makings for Smores.
