When NOT to use FOTL????

We are going to US and IOA for the first time in August. We will be staying four nights at the PB and will have the FOTL option our whole trip.

However, as I read more about these parks, some rides have really neat entrances/ lines that are integral to the story on the ride. For example, I read that the line for Mummy ride explains numerous things that happen on the ride.

Therefore, my question is - what rides should I avoid FOTL (at least for the first time)???

Well, unless they've tweaked it recently, I think the queue line for the Mummy does a poor job of setting you up for the ride (much less "explaining" things that happen). Still, it's atmospheric.

Far better queue line experiences are to be had at MIB (worth letting people pass you by just so you can take it all in) and BTTF.

Over at IOA, the queue line at DD is FANTASTIC. I recommend that even coaster haters walk thru the line just to enjoy the theme-ing. (You can bail out at the end without taking the ride.) Spidey has some fun things in the queue, but I'd recommend it only if there's little or no wait.
