Last month it was the truck's AC. Last week it was the HOUSE's AC. And today the garage door broke! Argh, it's SO FRUSTRATING! There goes our Disney money :sad1:

I hear you! We had been doing well paying down debt and staying on budget and all of a sudden...central air unit went. Grrrrrr

Well, the good news is that all bad things come in 3's. (old wives tale) Now you are done! I hope it is an easy fix, and doesn't cost too much.

Sorry things are going that way. The last poster was right, things do tend to come in 3's that's how it mostly happens for us. Hang in there. This will pass!

i know just how you feel  DH got laid off, our tv blew, and on our trip to wdw last week (we went ahead and went b/c it was already paid for) i lost one of the diamond earrings he gave me a few years ago! oh wait, maybe bad things come in 4's, b/c i came home from vacation and found an EOB from my insurance company stating they didn't pay for my $130 eye doctor visit last month! *sigh* hang in there, things have got to get better!

I feel your pain. In May, I had to have a new compressor for my van's ac. NOT cheap! $1100 including labor and it all came from my precious savings account. But this is Texas and it is hot at least 6 months out of the year and I refuse to drive around hot and miserable. So it's done.

We also had plumbing issues, vet bills, and now the lawn mower broke. I fear it's a goner so there's more money to spend.

Add all this to the fact that DH's company keeps having week-long shut downs every 6-8 weeks and what you get is not pretty.

I know things will eventually turn around, but it is sure no fun right now!

We are in the same boat. The dog got sick - $600 so far, return check up tomorrow. The house AC blew - $300 today for that. Waiting for what's next...;)

OP and everyone else - I am so sorry and I hear you!!

We have been working hard on our debt and hit a point where we bought some big ticket items since we had gotten our spending under control and are saving a considerable chunk of change each month now.

Last week, we found termites - thankfully no damage to the house but $1300 to take care of them and then I had to get an MRI and haven't met my deductible so there's another $420...and my hard drive on my laptop crashed and now I can't replace it. Maybe I will for Christmas.

it is so frustrating!!!

It's not just you! My DH was just informed Friday that NO ONE would be getting paid this payday, due to them having trouble meeting payroll b/c of the economy. We only get paid twice a month, so this is a big deal.

His A/C in his truck went out last week, and two weeks ago, our cat was poisoned by some cheap, OTC flea medicine. Luckily, she's okay now...

So, that's three things for me. Hopefully our luck will improve now!

:grouphug:

Our heat pump on our Jacuzzi went out, BIG BUCKS!!

OMG! I so feel your pain and I am so sorry! I think the universe is out of alignment! Or we really made someone angry, because everyone I know is experiencing some type of major problem. I really hope we can be forgiven or get back into alignment soon! I thruthfully do not know how much more we can take. It even rained out our Relay for Life this weekend. We still raised alot of money but the track was a complete mudhole and we had to forgo the luminary lighting ceremony and powerpoint photo presentation. :sad2:

Here's to hoping everything gets better soon!
