are Indy and LMA stunt shows closed?

I've been only at Epcot during a heavy rain, never DHS.

I would assume LMA closes but I have no personal experience.

I was at the Indy show when it started to slightly drizzle (it was so light, I didn't notice). They announced they were cutting the stunt sequence short because of rain. In heavy rain, I imagine they close the whole show.

Can't speak for LMA, but it was raining the day we went to see Indy and they cut the show short.

We've experienced both with Indy. Light rain resulted in a shorter show but with heavy rain they either just stop or don't start at all. We've been waiting inside only to be told that they cancelled the show.

LMA is the same as what's posted above for Indy. Heavy rain will cancel the show and if the pavement isn't completely dry from rain earlier in the day, there are certain stunts that they won't do.

And I know you didn't ask, but Fantasmic! is also weather-permitting. Beauty and the Beast is not, since the entire theatre is covered. But in periods of heavy rain that is coming from an angle, you can still get wet while sitting along the sides, and we have. :goodvibes

It's funny you should say that.

We have been in massively HUGE downpours at DHS more often than not, and it is usually waiting on Fantasmic! We haven't experienced it at EPCOT though!

I've been at the Indiana Jones show before in the rain when the only full sequence they did was the rolling boulder temple scene. When that was finished, it was raining too hard to do anything else from the show. They just talked for a few minutes and did a few fake punches/kicks and then said the show was over.

IDK about indy...but LMA...there was a pretty strong shower (umbrellas needed) just before line up...most people assumed it would be canceled & left. They went ahead and seated us. The rain slowed to a heavy sprinkle/light rain about 5 minutes before the show...and they announced that they were going to go ahead and have it. They said that rain just prior to a show actually helps their stunt vehicles with traction.

I've been at LMA with rain. It was very, very heavy at the beginning and turned into a sprinkle by the end and the full show went on. I was surprised, I thought it'd be cancelled.

That's never happened to me with any outdoor ride but that stinks hope you can see it all another time

Stop going when I go!!! LOL!! My family has STILL never seen Fantasmic because of this exact reason! Here's wishing us both better luck next time!!

We have been to LMA with a good down pour through the whole show and it still went on for us

Wow I've seen Fantasmic probably 7-8 times and have NEVER been rained out! I don't know how many times you have attempted to go to Fantasmic but even in Florida (with its random rain) its crazy that you would get rained out at least 2 times you tried to watch it! Next time you make it down to WDW, you should make sure to get park hoppers so when you catch a nice day and happen to be at a different park, you can still hop over to DHS for Fantasmic!

Last time we were there, we were heading to LMA and it was raining. We asked if the show would be done and we were told that the biggest issue of whether it is cancelled or not is lightning. Like others have said, rain may alter the show but if lightning is seen in the area I believe they will cancel immediately.:)

I've seen lightning during just about every LMA show! ;)

We've seen LMA after heavy rain but the start was delayed by about 30 mins while they dried the area, and then there was a further delay before the start of the end stunt,I dunno if they were deciding if it was dry enough or not but they did it in the end :).

Apologies from us. Fantasmic! is great and we love it. I hope you get to see it on your next trip:)

We've got the Fantasmic! Dinner package for June 9th and I'm praying for clear skies in the evening. Seriously, drench us if you want at other points in the day, but I want my little one to see Fantasmic! for the first time!
