When is your spring break?

When is your schools or your child's spring break? Ours is April 12th- 19th. We were thinking of going the following week April 20-24, but we noticed that the crowds looked high. I was just wondering when everyone else was off? Are the crowds higher due to schools spring break?

Yeah, week before and after Easter are busy. We've had spring breaks on either week in the past. This year it's the week before. Ugh.

Now the week of the 27th should be smooth sailing, at least in compared with the two weeks prior.

I am sorry to hear that. It must have been a tough winter for you so far.

Worst winter we have had in a while. Our schools usually use Feb or Apr vacation to make up snow days so the kids can start there summer vacation on time.

Ouch!!! We're lucky in that our state "forgave" a few days, and our school system builds a few days into the year to use. So far, we only have to add on 1 day in the summer and spring break is as planned. It's been such a long and harsh winter, these kids need that time off!

As for the original question, our SB is the last week of this month.

Every year someone starts a spring break poll on this forum.

With a large number of responses, it should provide an accurate cross section. The Spring Break Poll for 2014 shows that spring breaks are spread out a little more than ones I've seen in the past.

Ours was April 16-23 now with snow days, its Good friday and monday if we do not get anymore snow days.
