I am trying to plan a trip to WDW in March. Since Easter is April 12th this year, won't spring breaks be either the week before or after that in most places? A neighbor told me that in some states they get spring break in March regardless of when Easter falls. I am trying to avoid crowds.

Could everyone please post when their spring break is for their county/state. Also, if you know the dates of any colleges spring breaks, that would be great as well.

Thanks.

In MA, spring break is always the third week in April regardless of when Easter falls.

Thank you.

Anyone else???:laundy:

Here in NYC, public schools are always off during Passover for Spring break. This coming schoolyear ours includes both Easter and Passover, as well as Good Friday. In years when Passover and Easter are weeks apart, as they were this past year, we are off for Good Friday as well as the week of Passover. Private schools are usually off for 2 weeks, usually the week before and after Easter.

I hope this helps! As far as colleges, I went to University of Maryland, graduated in 1999. Our Spring break was usually the third week in March and had no correlation with Easter or Passover. They allowed students an excused absence for religious holidays such as those.

Thank you Prose. I will check it out. I posted in families as opposed to strategies because I figured the mommies would all be here. I guess there are mommies all over huh?
