I am bumping this. This poll is so much more helpful than reading through a whole thread and trying to sort dates in your head.

Anyone else want to vote??

We are March 21-25 in Oregon. Maybe it would be helpful to get a list going of regions (states, cities or districts) and their dates for K-12 spring breaks (in general, since there will always be some variation for private schools, etc.). Here's what it looks ilke has been posted so far:

March 14-18: Texas, Phoenix, Utah, Oklahoma, Mesa, Hawaii, Bay Area CA

March 21-25: Oregon, Vancouver Canada, Tucson, Mesa, Littleton CO, Chicago, Bay Area CA

March 28-April 1: Vancouver Canada, Alberta, Idaho

April 4-8: Washington, Northern Cal, Southern Cal.

April 11-15: San Diego, Manchester UK, Alpine UT

April 18-22: Huntington Beach, Illinois, San Diego

April 25-29:

Great idea to make this poll!

Eagle County CO April 18-22. I am pretty sure other counties around here have the same dates.

Bumping this thread with a question. Seems we have the same time off as Southern California. Do you think the first week of April will be completely insane? Think about going Mon/Tues/Wed.

so glad I got to see this, was thinking about going the first week of April but that could be really busy....instead will shoot for end of April or 1st week in May!:yay:::cool1::):dance3::thumbsup2::woohoo::cool2:

What area is off Feb 28th - Mar 4th? We are going then as to avoid any spring break crowds - we thought that was early enough with Easter being so late this year but 3 people voted for the 2/28 - 3/4.

Maybe a few year round schools?

I think it should also be noted that although us Dis'ers are stating when our time off is scheduled doesn't mean we plan to do Disney at that time...
I put our break off in April but i'm going to Disney next week during presidents week.. :scared1: GASP!!!! I never go during a holiday or time when huge crowds are expected wish me luck!

I just wanted to point out that there are lots of Southern California districts close enough to make Disneyland an easy day trip, and they don't all have the same spring break.

Of 3 very large districts near us (all a quick drive to Disneyland) spring breaks are:
2 - April 18-22
1 - April 1-8 (yep, they get the Friday leading into spring break off too)

I do think the 1st week of April will be busy, but I don't know about crazy busy. It's really hard to say in advance though. Even Disney sometimes gets caught off guard, and they have the benefit of past history, experience, projected numbers etc.

I would say if you're coming anytime during spring break season, expect it to be crowded, that way you'll be prepared if it's crazy busy, and pleasantly surprised if it's not. ;)

our spring break is march 21-25, however we are going down april 9-16. looks like it will be a slower week. squee!

San Juan School District in Sacramento, CA it is April 18th to 22nd.

Sequoia Union High School in Redwood City, CA it is April 18th to 22nd. I think, it varies in the Bay Area and it will not all be the same week.

I copied these from the Sacramento County Education office and the following districts have spring break as noted:
Arcohe Union (K-8) 4/18-4/22
Center Joint Unified (K-12) 4/18-4/25
Elk Grove Unified (K-12) 4/18-4/22
Elverta Joint (K-8) 4/18-5/2
Folsom Cordova Unified (K-12) 4/18-4/25
Galt Joint Union (elem. K-8) 4/18-4/25
Galt Joint Union High (9-12) 4/18-4/22
Natomas Unified (K-12) 4/22-4/29
River Delta Unified (K-12) 4/22-4/29
Robla (K-6) 4/19-4/29
Sacramento City Unified (K-12) 4/19-4/22
San Juan Unified (K-12) 4/18-4/22
Twin Rivers Unified (K-12) 4/18-4/25

Rocklin Unified School District in CA = 4/18 - 4/22
El Dorado Unified in CA = 4/18 - 4/22

All the above school districts are in CA

I voted! I live in Stockton, Ca and for most schools their break is March 14- 18th. I went to DL last March..... it wasn't too bad. Now that I think about it..... Oct was worst. I took my 16 year old son for one day on a Sat. It was packed!!! I believe it was Columbus weekend. (or whatever holiday is in Oct). I was shocked at how crowded it was. More busier then in July!

I live just a bit down south from Stockton and most spring breaks here fall the week after Easter or the week before...so end of April for us!

I agree about October! I went on a Saturday/Sunday in mid October (the 16 & 17 I think) and that was the craziest it has ever been for me! I even went on a Saturday in March last year (spring break time) and plenty of times during the summer and never experienced crowds like i did this past October! :scared1:
I am going again in about 2-3 weeks, hopefully Spring break crowds wont be too terrible! :goodvibes

I thought I'd enter my Spring Break. I'm actually surprise at how early schools are having their breaks. Before college, my break was determined by when Easter was, so at the end of April was what I was expecting most. Now, we go by a 10 week quarter system and we're at the mercy of that for our break. Apparently schools are following this trend as well :confused3 Strange, but could be good for April spring break travelers!! :thumbsup2

Just a bump since questions relevant to this thread are coming up more often.

Ours is starting March 28th. Corona/Norco district (very close to DLR). This is the first year in a long time that most of the elementary and intermediate schools are even having a spring break. Our school district changed from year round to traditional this year. Not sure how much of an effect it will have on the crowds. I know with the change in school schedules many families didn't renew their AP since they would have to get the more expensive ones in able to be able to go.

ADDED-I checked the Anaheim Unified HS District (many schools around DLR are in this one) Their Spring Break is one week, starting April 4th.
