when is your FAVORITE month to go?

Honestly? ANYTIME...no really it is the Holiday season along with alot of you other DISers...There is nothing like the atmosphere at DL with the holiday spirit in the air. They make the most amazing hot chocolate and sugar cookies in the Reindeer Round up area. We make it a point to purchase either a large gingerbread boy or sugar cookie tree they are around $5 and come with assorted fostings and toppings. The kid just love to decorate with Mrs Claus and listen the the christmas music. Yummy!

It really is extra, extra special at DLR during the holidays, isn't it? Every square inch of the entire DLR is pretty much immersed in holiday splendor, from the music to the treats and goodies to the decorations and lights, and smells of peppermint and cinnamon and gingerbread. Even the holiday music differs from land to land - another fine example of the Disney attention to detail. You could be in Frontierland and hear a sort of Country Western version of a classic holiday song, maybe done on a banjo or something, and then you move in to Adventureland and hear another holiday tune tapped out on the steel drums, Calyspo-style, and then you walk through New Orleans Square to hear a jazz rendition of a holiday favorite, and then you venture over in to DCA and hear Christmas tunes done by the Beach Boys or something. It is really just absolutely wonderful. If anyone has never been to DLR at all and they only have one chance to go, I would say go during the holidays. It is bursting with magic!

is there usually rides down for refurb in february though? i mean, atleast, the bigger rides, like potc and space and splash? and what is the weather actully like? how cool? im really considering the end of feb, rather than may

We usually go in Feb. and end of Sept. those for us have traditionally been very cool and slow times at the parks....

End of October and beginning of November!! No doubt, bring your costumes, get a ticket to the Halloween party and have a blast. The weather is nice but not too hot and the decor changes overnight after Halloween to Christmas!! Quite cool!! :dance3:

I'd have to say anytime in the weeks after Thanksgiving but before school lets out for Christmas break. The park is beautifully decorated, the crowds are quite low, it's open late and generally all the rides are up. We had a great time. The only downside was that one of the nights we were there was the annual Candlelight Ceremony and the park was very busy that day. In fact, the busiest in memory.

We have always had to work around the school year so have gone in March, June, August and December. I was thinking about going in mid-September this year since DS doesn't start school (college) until after that but no one seemed to think that was a good idea for some reason. Then when I found out that Space Mountain will be closed plus with all the conventions etc. I am really glad we decided not to. Now DH has decided to attend a convention the middle of December so we will be going then. I am really excited about going and I do think this is my favorite time with all the holiday decorations and the cool weather. We will be back home a few days before the weekend before Christmas so hopefully the crowds won't be too bad, although last time I went during this time 3 years ago they closed DL because it was full on the second Saturday of the month. Someday I would like to go in October for Halloweentime.

Late October for us! Its my bday which is a great excuse to go. Weather is wonderful and crowds aren't bad at all! This year we're going in September so we'll see how we like that. I would love to go in Nov/Dec to check out the Christmas decorations. Its been at least 10 years since I've seen them. But with DD being 2.5 I just don't want to chance the rain yet as we only get to go once a year.

Because of school schedules, we have generally gone in March or October.

I love the Halloween decorations in October, but I prefer the weather in March. Of course, now neither of us have a fall break anymore so it'll be March for sure.

My DBF and I are both in college, and our first trip to DLR together was in late May, right when our Summer break began. We absolutely loved it, even with a grad night in the middle of our visit. The weather was gorgeous and the crowds were manageable. On grad night, we just left the park early and had a thorough walk-through of DTD and retreated to the hotel early. Everything just worked out when we went with the flow. One day, we will go in December for the holiday overlay, although May will always be special for us. I'm just happy to go when we can. :goodvibes

I like November (pre-Thanksgiving), early December, January (post MLK Jr. Day), February, and two weeks after Easter break because it is dead!

I love early Dec xmas is so great there better then WDW.

WE usually end up going in Oct halloween is fun too

ANY month that I can go to Disneyland is my favorite:thumbsup2

I have been in October, April and November. This next time we'll be going in September, all have been awesome trips in their own way.

But really, any month is MAGICAL!!!:wizard:

My DH and I love going in October (for my birthday and for the Halloween pirate: celebration) and December (for our wedding anniversary and the Christmas :santa: celebration). Halloween pirate: and Christmas :santa: are our favorite holidays, and just being at DL for their celebrations makes it that much more special. :goodvibes

We went the first week of Feb this year and loved it. While the weather wasn't the greatest, the crowds were low, and we walked on many of the rides. Would not hesitate to go at that time again!

April and August are my 2 favorites. April at the tail end of spring break, crowds aren't 2 bad, weather is great, and August, well, because I love the heat, and most attractions are open then.

EVERY MONTH!!!!!
Winter for rainy days cuz other people don't go.
Spring for all the beautiful flowers the horticulturalists plant and the weather is nice!
Summer cuz I love to people watch and there is a lot of that!
Autumn for the beautiful weather and you can make a lot of new friends from people visiting from Australia and New Zealand cuz that's when they come!
