When is spring break officially over?

I want to book a reservation for this spring but don't want to run into the spring break crowds. A couple of years ago we arrived the Monday after Easter week and the crowds were pretty much gone. Is that the rule of thumb or does it change every year?

I would think the Monday after Easter week would be a great time to go. The only time this may not work is when Easter is in March.

Disney seems to think that spring break ends on April 17. That is the end of peak rates for the hotels, and the hours at the parks get cut back as well. However, a lot of people from New England will just be starting spring break at that time. Spring break here in MA happens the third week of April, Patriots Day, not the football team, but the beginning of the Revolution. Many schools in MA, CT, and ME will be off that week and NH has off the following week. Gettin close to the 30 day dance.

Well, our kids are off the week of April 19th for Spring Break. We will be heading down on the 17th. (We live in MA)
