when is resort monorail goig to be running again?

I tried searching for this and can't come across when it will be up and running.

The resort monorail is running but on a different operating schedule (8:30-12a) than normal while the system is being upgraded. An end date to the above schedule is unknown as of right now.

What about the boat from MK to the Polynesian? We are staying at POP and thought about going to MK and catching the resort monorail over to get tonga toast around 8:00 in the morning. Since the monorail won't be running, will we be able to take the boat?

It will be running.
Also, expect special BUS service between MK and the monorail resorts during the monorail closure hours.

ALSO...

Tell the MK driver as you board at the Pop that morning that you are headed to the Poly for breakfast.

There's a very good chance that (s)he will drive you to the Poly before or after the MK stop.

Again, just speak up.

Define "special" if you could....staying at GF in Sept and want to make rope drop at MK and EP.

They add buses (and sometimes, additional and/or larger shuttle boats) to take the place of the out-of-commission monorail routes.

Awesome! We will give that a try. Thanks!

Just returned last night from a 10 day stay on the monorail loop. I didn't notice anything different on this trip then any of my previous trips. People were riding on it well before the 830 am time and still running at midnight when we left the MK.

Wow, I sure wish our bus driver had been so accommodating the time we were coming back from DHS to POFQ. My husband all of the sudden started feeling very ill, and I cleared the days purchases out of the bag just in time for him to get sick in it - multiple times. I asked the driver to go straight to POFQ rather than the 4 stops at POR they normally do first. He just yelled back "Nope!" and that was it. :headache:

We just felt bad for the full bus of people sitting with us who had to deal with us for the next 20 minutes....

Interesting. Wonder if the work has started yet.

Sorry that happened.

But, to be clear, one of the principle reasons the buses at WDW run so early in the mornings is to take guests to early breakfast ADR's.

It is not really an unusual situation for a park-destination bus to drop guests at a resort that offers breakfast ADR's.
