When is New Jersey Week in 2004?

This is so funny because my BIL (Somerdale) just called Fri. night to ask my DH a few Disney questions. They are going in Nov.

As someone who was there last year - stay away from the MK on Saturday!! Another thing with the crowds is that Soap Opera weekend is also this time. We were there last year from Thurs - Tues. Wanted to see the fireworks so we went to MK on Saturday - what a nightmare!! Never again - they had extended the hours until 11pm so we figured it would be packed. A reservation agent told us upon our return that you couldn't have rented a broom closet in the parks on that weekend. When we went again to MK on Monday, it was a breeze so no complaints.

I think just use your wisdom Have a great time - we will be going to WDW in Nov 04 (were just there Aug 03).

PS - we hadn't heard about Jersey Week before we went but saw tons of cars with Jersey plates - it became a joke with the kids pointing them out. We learned about it while we were there.

This is a good point I forgot to mention in my previous post. The second weekend of Jersey Week is Super Soaps Weekend. All of the Soap events are at MGM so definitely avoid that park. However, since everyone is avoiding that park, the other parks get more crowded, especially MK. Saturday Nov. 8 would be a good day to go shopping or sit around the pool or do some other non-park activity.

When I saw your thread I thought it meant that each week Disney sorta slauts a state since there are 50 states and 52 weeks in a year. I was wondering when certain states have their weeks. I am like when is Oklahoma's week. Our teacher convention is always during the middle of October we only get the Thursday Friday off, when my DD gets to school age her teachers will have to get used to our bi yearly trips to WDW during the first three days of that week.

When we were registering my daughter for 1st grade last year, my wife and I were looking at the school calendar to figure out when we could go to WDW. Another parent overheard us and said, "Go the week of conferences in Nov. The kids are off for 2-1/2 days. Everyone goes on vacation that week." Thus our introduction to the phenomenon of 'Jersey Week." Sounds like Oklahoma has something similar.
