When is Lovebug season?

Love bug season is a yearly double whammy. May and September. Just in time for us cruisers. I was there at the end of love bug in May/June 2007. They were annoying at All Star Sports but that is was it. Mostly just smashed bugs in the stair well area.

It depends, from what I have heard they can come early or late. We were there late April/early May for our first trip and I don't remember them, and I know I would have remembered those swarms of bugs. All I can say is good luck. And I never noticed them at the parks or around the pools. I wouldn't worry about them.

Last September, we were at WDW from Sep 19-27, and we didn't start to really notice any unitl the last few days we were there. But once they showed up, they were EVERYWHERE, especially at Epcot. (maybe cuz more plants or something? ) We also saw tons at the hotel.

They drove me nuts, so I don't blame you for trying to avoid them!

This could be a good thing if they will be gone by the first week of May. Or do they stay around for a while? I have never seen this bug thing before.

My experience is that they are there longer then just one week.
And that they are there every vacation we were there in april/may.

But that said, it is just nothing.
They don't bite or something they are just anoying but harmless....
