When is it inappropriate to wear a bikini?

When the person wearing it can't see the bottom part of the bikini. Or for that matter, anyone else.:rotfl2:

If you are a size 6 and 20's go for it in one that covers and you don't hang out of...enjoy it while you are there!

I would NOT wear one if I were pooh sized or had extra jiggle or sagging breasts. We were at TL in September and saw several bikinis...first I would be afraid it would fall off BUT there was a pooh size teenager hanging out of a too small bikini (not very attractive to look at butt cheeks hanging out when you are in line behind it) and older women without the firmness with sagging and jiggles wearing too small bikinis. I have never worn one nor would I but if you have the body or are comfortable do it...but don't squeeze into a small size or hang out just because!

Have a fun trip!!!

TMI, now we do need a pic of a 20 years old and size 6.:rolleyes:

I say it depends...while some women look good in their late 50's in them, there are some women in their 20's who definitely do not.I think that if you are pooh sized it is probably not a good idea( I am a size 12 and wear a one piece).Women with very large ,saggy breasts also should steer clear of the bikini tops with no support( aka the triangle string bikinis).Unless you are at the beach,pool,or the like they are never appropriate as clothing.

Pooh Size:rotfl2:
That is such a nice way of putting it.
I used to rock a bikini, but after 2 kids things aren't the same. Although I am not "Pooh size" I still feel like some things need to be covered up.....it is just having respect for people. I like those tankinis. You know..the ones with the skirted bottoms and a top that comes over the belly but can be lifted if I am sunbathing.....:thumbsup2

I'd have to say, it depends on how you look in it.pirate:

ITA.

Also, person who's 5'7" & wearing a size 6 is going to look different than a person who's 5'1" wearing a bikini.

And for the record, I am 5'7" & wear a size 6, but would NEVER wear a bikini now...I'm in my 40s. No way!

If I were a size 6 after even having my one princess: I'd wear that bikini EVERYWHERE including the grocery store.

I am with you 100%!!

Just a note: I range between 5 & 11 (Boo to winter pounds) and I wore a bikini proudly this past summer!

My guess is some people are more comfortable in them then others.I saw a mom of 2 kids ( very thin and athletic) in a one piece, and I saw a pooh sized woman with sagging breasts and cottage cheese clinging to her thighs in a thong bikini...not for me even when I was thin.

I think I feel my dinner stiring after reading this. :scared1:

Personal Preference. If you go the body for one wear one. Then again there are people that shouldn't wear one that do.

Its how you feel about your self.I am a size 2 and i am not happy with wearing one and i have 4 kids So it dont have anything to do with size it how you feel and see yoru self :)

1. Anywhere a "no shirt, no service" sign is, might, or should be posted.
2. Anywhere it might come off when you want it to stay on.

I'm Pooh sized and my motto is: Just 'cause they make it in my size doesn't mean I have any business wearing it.

I think more people should take my motto as their own. :rotfl:

After what age, what size, or how many children is it inappropriate to wear a bikini?

My only suggestion is that until the young lady can support a Bikini she need not be wearing one...and once she can it is still not a great idea until she is 18.
I have been all over and especially at the resorts they have a lot of high school girls on trips etc. To see these girls running around next to naked really bothers me because in our society one never knows what sort of creepy people are around. :sad2:

As for adults wearing them...whatever you want to do is fine I am sure. If people do not think it is attractive on you they need not look. :thumbsup2

>>> Pooh sized
>>> sagging

(Ph.D. in engineering needed) Caution: Clothing with fewer square inches of fabric than average on persons with more square inches of skin than average is more likely to come off of the body parts desired to be covered. If you have to keep adjusting an article of clothing, you probably should be wearing something else.
