After what age, what size, or how many children is it inappropriate to wear a bikini?

There shouldn't be a limit on what you can wear. As long as you feel good about it, you can wear it. :thumbsup2

If you have to ask ................ :-)

Just kidding ... that's a question you can only answer yourself.

I personally prefer a one piece (at all my ages, weights and before and after each of my 3 kids) but it's just that- a personal preference. I don't think your age or how many kids you've had should matter a bit- and weight- well, even that is truly up to you. If you're comfortable, and it's not obscene (like your areola is showing) then do what feels good to you.

Just speaking for myself.

When I look in the mirror and think o lord , its time to get a bathing suit. :rotfl2:

I'm asking because I am a size 6, have 2 kids and am in my twenties. But before my kids I was a size 2, and it just does not look the same. Know what I mean?

If I were a size 6 after even having my one princess: I'd wear that bikini EVERYWHERE including the grocery store.

If you feel comfortable then wear one - the only time I would say it's inappropriate is based on location. Why people walk around the parks in a bikine top I'll never know. Please save them for the water parks.

Any other middle aged women out there going "Puh lease!" Even if we have stayed thin, things just do not stay where they were in our twenties, even skin!! So honey - if you are a size 6 and in your twenties I think you are probably just fine.

my aunt is 50 and a size 8 and she looks pretty darn good in a bikini.

My DD is 14 and my DW is 40, they both wear a bikini top in the summer but also carry shirts for restaurants. It's very hot out there. They do wear shorts, not bikini in the lower part.

my mother is 56 (and a grandmother!) she still looks quite good in a bikini and refuses to wear a one piece (why would she?)

if you are in your 20s and wear a size 6, you are definitely fine for a bikini.

I would say if you are going on certain waterslides a bikini may be more difficult to keep on. But other than that, if you feel good --size doesnt matter. Personally if I was a size 6 I would wear one every chance I got!!

My mom is nearly 60 and still wears a bikini and looks amazing. We are a short family of ladies so I think she looks better in a bikini than in a 1 piece. I'm currently in my 7th month of pregnancy and wore a bikini on a beach trip a week ago because a 1 piece just wasn't comfortable as I've not worn one since I was 10. I think it also matters what type of bikini. Both my mother's, as well as my pregnancy bikini are very covering halter tops with bottoms that keep our bums covered.

I go through this dilemma with my wife, she is almost 36, has not stomach to speak of and has 4 kids so she thinks she not wear stuff like that. I am always having to force her into buying clothing because she thinks she is too old to wear it even though she has the body. If you have the body for it or you are comfortable in it then wear it.

I have never worn a bikini, even when I had the bod for one. I was raised very modest. I don't mind others wearing them as long as they cover everything. Last week we were at BB and some chic had a bikini on that barely held in her bahambas. I don't wanna see those :rotfl:

Most that wore the bikinis I thought were very tasteful. Age shouldn't matter and nor should kids. If it fits well and you're comfortable, wear it. :hippie:
