When is it Christmas at Disney???

I know the decorations go up starting Thanksgiving week. We will be there starting Thanksgiving and into the following week.....

Last year, closer to Christmas (we were there the week before and the week after with a Wonder cruise in the middle), we were totally blown away by the special holiday Wishes and the extra "Peace on Earth" fireworks at Epcot. Does anyone know when they start doing these?

I've heard that they actually start decorating closer to the beginning of November now. I think it all has to do with when the Holiday Parade is being taped..... Anyone know for sure?

The first MVMCP this year is November 13th! I think the decorations will be completed earlier in November than ever before. Normally, things are still going up the days leading up to Thanksgiving with the tree at MK being one of the last things. I'm sure MK will be totally decked out by mid November this year.

I remember from past years that they started doing the Christmas Illuminations at the strat of the Candlelight Processional.

We arrived last year on November 10 or so and Magic Kingdom was completely decorated. We left the week-end before Thanksgiving and all the while we were there little by little more would get done. Since we have been there several times in December, I know that there was lots of stuff still to be put up, but it was so nice being able to take advantage of some of the holiday decorations and music.

I think they start all the christmas hoop la after the thanksgiving hoop la.

Its going to be Christmas at Disney as soon as we get on that plane and start flying south!

The special Illuminations starts the day after Thanksgiving.
