I can't seem to get a definitive answer on this. Maybe they haven't set an official date? But does anyone have any idea how much longer Golden Dreams will be open before they shut down to put in the new Ariel ride? I have a trip coming up at the end of June, and would like to see the show a couple of more times before it's gone for good!

I don't think they have announced anything beyond it's impending demise.

I would think it will remain open through summer as they probably won't start construction on Ariel's dark ride until the end of summer. No need to have a big pile of dirt during the hot and busy months. Of course this is just an assumption, I don't know anything definitive.

bumping for new information

I want to see it again before it closes.

Thanks for the heads up on it closing. We've never seen the film before but were planning to on our trip starting tomorrow. Now I'll make SURE we get to it -- we always run out of time for this film somehow...

Not soon enough. Sorry, but if you have seen it once, that is plenty.

Awww, I love that uplifting movie. I wish they could move it to a smaller venue instead of completely getting rid of it.

That being said, I think an Ariel ride (or any ride for that matter) is a better use of the space. :thumbsup2

I really like Golden Dreams, too.

princesskayla - Golden Dreams is a movie, hosted by Whoopi Goldberg as Calafia, the spirit of California, that shows how different cultures built California, and a taste of the sacrifices to make our great state.

I think Golden Dreams will go down sometime in September, if Disney starts work on DCA this year.

isnt this the theater that they are supose to have some halloween charcters at ? I had heard they would have melifent there or they did last year. My DH is praying they still do this year
