How have you been, Michelle? I haven't seen you around.

Are you ready for Tues? I'll be wearing my Mambo with Mario thong.

DST ends October 29th @ 2:00 a.m.

or when you go to bed on Saturday night, turn all of your clocks back!
Don't forget to change your smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector batteries too.

I also change my flashlight batteries and my hallway & bathroom lightbulbs.. I figure I'm up on the ladder changing the batteries, I may as well clean the fixtures and change the light bulbs. I know if I don't, they're going to blow within a week or so!!!

Actually to answer your first part of the question... when is Day light Saving time... that's in the Spring, this is Standard Time coming up. (I know, smarty pants!!!!)

Why are people celebrating? It will get darker earlier. :confused3 Maybe you are getting confused because we are moving into Standard Time, NOT Daylight Savings Time.

Thanks again!

Hiya Michele! i'm doing well. It's been a week that i just want over. It's been wakes and funerals and just all that crud. Time to go back on vacay. Other than that, just been busy with the kids! i love Fall (Autumn) and it's great time to be outside, before the snow prevents that too much! How have you been? I kind of just wander now!! no real 'home' except for my POPpers thread of people i met on vacay :teeth: so i don't do too much 'daily' postings.

But YESSS i'm ready for DWTS!! MARIOOOO :faint: :faint: It better be a good week :teeth:

Yes, I agree. It gets dark at around 5:30 here. I hate this time of year. :(

We don't change here. But thanks for the reminder! Wouldn't want to miss any of my favorite tv shows on cable.

I HATE this time of year! Go to work in the dark, get off in the dark, it is just depressing.

Why does anyone like it being dark before dinner? Sure, I enjoy the extra hour of sleep that one night but don't appreciate the dark days the rest of the time.

I have no idea. I wish California didn't observe it.

I love Ben Franklin, but this certainly wasn't one of his better ideas. It would make more sense for the farmers to adjust their lives to what best suits than force this crap on the rest of us.

People are celebrating because they get an extra hour of sleep that day!

I hate this time of year, its depressing enough because it is getting cold out but then to force us in the dark for all times other than when we are at work is just to much. And to do it right before halloween REALLY sucks, I am glad they are changing at least that part of it soon so kids can at least get out a little in the daylight to trick or treat!

I thought that was a GIVEN!! :rotfl:

I wake up everyday at 4am, so it's dark anyway. I like waking up but not GETTING up. The time falling back gives me an extra hour in the morning. I'm also home by 4pm so I beat the dark ride home.

Asking why someone celebrates is strange to me. Isn't everything relative? I celebrate my extra hour, you may celebrate something I could care less about but I'd never ask you unless it would harm someone...?

There ya GO again, Robin, thinking everyone does what YOU do! stupid stupid stupid stupid.....

The extra hour sleep that one day is nice but then the next one where you loose the hour is NOT nice, plus it screws up the kids bedtimes. I personally wish they would just leave the clocks the heck alone and stop switching them!

Have I been in the twilight zone? I could have sworn they were talking about switching it this year until the second or third week in November.
