What days of the week are the busiest for checking in and checking out? I'm just thinking that if I'm flexible with my arrival/departure dates I might stand a better chance of 1. Painless check in/out and 2. Possibly getting an upgrade since the front desk staff aren't so busy. Any stats on this anywhere? :confused3
Thanks!

Weekends are the worst because most people do the week trip starting on Sat/Sun and ending the following Sat/Sun. But time of day also has an effect. If you check in first thing in the morning you won't get your room til later (after 3 usually) and probably won't be upgraded. If you check in early evening you might have a better shot.

Whoa! That was quick! Thanks a lot PyxiiDustt :goodvibes

Regarding upgrades, they can happen one of two ways. Usually it's not up to the cast member that is actually checking you in. It can happen, but the majority of upgrades happen because the number of nights you are staying match up with a gap in room occupation, and the back office cast member (what i used to do) either sees something cool in your reservation comments, or just likes your name, and upgrades you.

The other way it can happen is at the time of check in, if the hotel isn't full during your stay, and you seem nice or are celebrating something you can also get upgraded.

It is best to arrive late afternoon early evening for this kind of upgrade.

I have always check in after plane arrives which is around 11 AM & by the time I get to the resort around 11:45 am or noonish. Sometimes my room is ready sometimes not. Usually gotten every request asked for. Before all the resorts went non smoking it was non smoking due to medical reasons (which is true in case some might think some use this to get a non smoking room:) ) But stay at club level in most cases. Past trip to BWI I asked at front desk if club level was ava which it was & was upgraded at a cost. Would have done it when I booked but was sold out but was told to ask when checking in by Disney travel. I would try not to get in after 10pm but that is me.
