When is bounceback traditionally offered?

Does anyone know when Disney has traditionally offered bounceback? I know it was offered in the fall for use later. Any other times that anyone knows of?

I was offered it In November of 2006, and we used it in August of 2007. Since we had the free dining already set, we were able to make our PS at the 6 month mark, before the dining was offered to the general public. We got all the places and times we wanted.

In 2006 it was offered Nov/Dec for "free dining" returns in Aug/Sept of 2007.

In 2007 it was offered in Sept. for "free dining" returns in Sept. of 2008. It was offered Oct - Dec of 2007 for room discounts for returns scattered throughout 2008. I think it was 20% off value/mod, 30% deluxe, and 40% DVC studios.

I can't remember for sure if people who went the first part of 2008 were offered Bounce back or not. Since we didn't travel during that time I wasn't paying that much attention.

We were offered a bounceback in January for room discounts in April & September.

Is there anything particular you have to do to get bounceback pricing? I'm not familiar with this. I assume you have to make reservations for your trip while you're staying on Disney property, but do we have to ask for it?
