When is a ride is scheduled to be down....

How accurate is the estimate? TSM is scheduled to be down while we are there and I LOVE that ride. We leave there the morning of Oct 8.

Things do sometimes reopen earlier than expected, so you can always hope. I will note, however, that Toy Story was originally scheduled to be closed through October 10 but then Disney added another day, October 11, so it's not looking promising.

Walt Disney Parks and Resorts U.S., Inc. aims to ensure that all refurbishment schedules adhere to published timelines. However, unforseen circumstances may cause refurbishment periods to have to be extended on occassion. Likewise, unforseen circumstances might just as easily cause refurbishment periods to be shortened on sudden notice.

In all instances, the main priority is to ensure the safety of both Guests and Cast Members as well as ensuring that refurbishments meet both local laws and regulations as well as the Disney standard of excellence.

We are there the same time, our last day is Oct. 8th also. When I told my family that TSMM is not going to be running while we are there they were all very disappointed.

Maybe between the two of us we can wish it back open. My husband has never been on the ride...I had to tell him about it and then tel him it's scheduled to be closed.

No one from our family has ever been on this ride so technically we do not know what we will be missing...LOL! But DD is a HUGE Toy Story fan and was pretty disappointed when I told her this ride was closed. We are there way earlier than you but I will join in on the wishing for this ride to open for you guys!!
