when is a crisp not a crisp

We live in a strange world. I wonder how much money was spent deciding that!

sounds like the whole 'the jaffa cake is a cake not a biscuit' argument

I hope Mr Churchill doesn't see this, it will set him off on the tomato argument again !!

I though VAT was be put on anything in this counrty given the chance-I bet the government arent to thrilled!:rotfl2:

The price of pringles may come down but our council tax will go up in order to cope with the recycling of the empty tubes!!:lmao:

What are they then? They can't imply that pringles are cakes can they?
Weird....

as they are made from dough and not patato, yes they are cakes.Like the jaffa cake argument they dont have to pay vat on a cake so 17.5% vat on 1.5billion is a lot of money.the govenmant hasnt lost any money.it was claiming that they wanted to rlecasify it as a crisp so they could claim vat on it.
A cake starts of soft and gose hard when left out
a biskket starts of hard then gose soft when left out
That was jaffa cakes argument
pringles won there case on the ingrediants used
Paulh

a similar thing happened to a M&S product and the govr had to pay back a whole load of cash. wish i could get all the VAT I have paid back. :rotfl:
