Me and my partner are now finalising our trip, we have decided where to stay, how long were going for and we have narrowed when to go to either 04 September for 5 nights or 11 September for 5 nights.

We cant decide which week to go in Sept, obviously we want to try and get the best weather but thats unpredictable with France (as it is with us in the UK) but we also want to try and avoid school holidays, when do most kids go back? I think I would like to go the first week ideally, however if most kids are still off we shall wait till the following week!

Thanks in advance.

as late as possible i would say! i believe the english schools go back around 9th 10th sept so you might want to wait till then (we are in scotland so cant tell you definites)

we have been twice at end of sept around 25th and had fantastic weather :) also they start putting out all the halloween decorations which are fantastic!

at end of sept it was very quiet also - everything a walkon whereas we had friends who went near start of sept and it was manic - big queues :(

hth a bit

My daughter goes back on 5th sept but check for other european school hols sure somewhere doesn't finish until the 10th :goodvibes

I'd go the second week.

More time or the kids to go back and a week won't affect the weather much.

We go back on the 6th but it is possible some schools could wait until the following week to start back so if you want the parks to be quiet I would wait until the second week. The difference in weather between the two weeks won't be huge and it is often nice right until the end of September.

Normally we go the second or third week in September and it's so nice, hardly anyone there (apart from weekends obviously) It's always cold mornings but lovely and sunny the rest of the day and really easy to get round some days you can just walk straight on the rides without having to queue.

Though this year we're going from the 4th for a change.:)

Definitely a good choice! :thumbsup2

We have been end August/early September and end September and the latter would be my preference any day. We had good weather later in September (quite heavy rain one day but we were prepared) and the parks were lovely - hardly any queues. We stayed in the DLH so had one fastpass each day to use and we didn't even use them 2 days it was so quiet, no need :). Would love to do that time of year again but sadly we are tied to school holidays now :rolleyes2.

End Aug/early September was busy until our second to last day really which was around 4th Sept. I was surprised as most French schools had gone back, but there seemed to be lots of Italians & Spanish still around I think.

So glad i saw your post and read it - we are planning on being at DLP mid September, and i'm feeling a lot more confident about crowds now :thumbsup2
