What do you take on shore with you for your stuff? A fanny pack, a backpack, a purse, or tote bag? Or does it just depend on where you are going? I need some idea as what to take. I have never travelled.

I think it depends on where you are going. For Nassau I just took a bottle of water and my fanny pack.
CC, I took a beach bag with typical beach stuff like sunscreen, visor, bottled water, snorkling gear.

we took a backpack in Nassau. All we had in it though was water bottles, but at least I didn't have to carry them for everyone. :D

If we are going to a beach I usually take a beach bag with all the beach stuff (towels, sunscreen, camera, etc.) along with a water wallet to keep my money and key card in while I am in the water. If we are just going sightseeing or shopping I usually just take a fanny pack.

Thanks...this really helps a lot so I know what to pack!

When we go into port, we take our backpack, a couple bottles of water, wallets, id, etc. If it is a port where we are there well into the evening..we usually go back to the ship, drop off the backpack, any packages from purchases, freshen up and then just take the bare necessities, wallets, id, etc, put them in our pockets and head out for some fun. Hubby has a great travel wallet...we get them at walmart for around $7.23...the best we have ever seen.

At castaway cay..we have a beach bag..has a net/zipper pouch on the bottom for wet towels and such. We take sunscreen, again a couple bottles of water to start, we wear our swimsuit, shoes and coverups. Sometimes we add dry shorts for the walk back, and of course a ids, money etc.
