I had a nightmare about gorging myself on red velvet cake. I haven't eaten it since. Well today there is red velvet cake here. I tried a piece...now I'm gonna be sick. Ugh!

Its been 15 freakin years!!!!!!! :lmao::confused3

Boy do I have a red velvet cake story--I gave up caffeine once and my withdrawal symptoms were so bad that i threw up everywhere--problem was it was blood red! I thought I would have to go to the hospital until I realized I had baked red velvet cake that day :rolleyes1:thumbsup2

yep 14 years for me and stil the smell of ketcup chips sends me over the edge every time.

You'll note that every time MIL comes to visit she brings some

Mine is, and was, bubblegum. Ugh! I still gag at the smell. My DD is 13.

By the way, ketchup chips sound GROSS!!

I was so exhausted and nauseous with my first pregnancy that I bought some pink grapefruit shower gel, hoping that the scent would perk me up.

To this day, the scent makes me queasy.

Binny, a pox upon your mother-in-law! :headache:

I stopped eating steak when I was pregnant because I like mine rare. Not sure why, but it took me 14 years to eat steak again.

Unrelated to pregnancy, but I used to love popcorn. The movie theaters smelled so good to me. One summer about 10 years ago the smell of buttered popcorn made me nauseated and I completely stopped eating it. Couldn't even stand the smell of it in the theaters or the work breakroom. Never have gotten over that smell.

I couldn't eat or even look at cut up melon without getting nauseous for a while. We went to visit my in-laws about a week after I found out I was pregnant, and my sweet MIL bought "healthy" food for me to eat while I was there. I think I ate it once during the week, so it just sat there soaking up the juice, and it turned all mushy. Just looking at it sitting in the fridge made me sick, and I had an aversion to it for a long time.

You know what else makes me nauseous, even after 12 years? The songs "C'mon and Ride It" by the Quad City DJ's and "Macarena"! I was newly pregnant in the fall of 1996 when those songs were popular, and I heard them over and over on the radio when I was driving both to and from work. To this day, I can't listen to them without getting queasy (and not just because they are really bad)!
