do you take off the price tag/label or leave it on the item(s)? :rolleyes1

Always make sure I remove them. :)

Unless your are my sister who is a scatterbrain and forgets sometimes!

That depends on how much I paid for it.

:rolleyes1

I always take it off. Except on the rare instance when I genuinely forgot prior to wrapping a few Christmas presents - I ripped those puppies right off as people were opening their gifts!! :lmao:

I rip them off too. don't want anyone to know that I give bargain basement junk. :rotfl:

I always remove the price, but leave the tag with the UPC code in case it needs to be taken back for any reason

I always remove them....IF I can remember to do so.:rolleyes1

I always remove the pricetag/label. I think it's in poor taste to give a gift that still has how much it cost on it. As previously mentioned, if there's a barcode, I'll leave it incase it needs to be exchanged. But I always cover up the price.

I asked for a reason. ;)

I watch my neighbor's pets whenever they go out of town. Upon their return, she usually has a token of appreciation for me. She always leaves the price tag on whatever she gives me. I know that she doesn't spend the price reflected on the tag (tightwad), but she always leaves the price tag on. :confused3

It's tacky to not remove the price tag from a gift----it really doesn't matter if it's the true price paid or the oft-quoted "retail" (which no one in their right mind would pay!!) It detracts from the gift and the spirit of gifting.:hippie:

It depends on who I'm giving a gift to.

If it's for a shower/wedding then I remove it, as I usually buy something from their registry list.

But if it's for family I usually leave the price tag on, and I even go so far as to put the receipt right in with it so they will have an easy time if they need or want to exchange it, especially with the granddaughters. They are teenagers now so it is hard to know what they would really like/want.

and if it's going to my stepdaughter, I remove ALL tags, cut the upc codes off boxes, etc..she's been known to try and return all gifts for cash..lol!..I make sure she's thwarted at every turn she tries if it's something we have given her or the kids!!!

I always did that with my family as well. Until I gave up and started giving them money :rotfl2:. They knew how much I spent on birthdays Christmas ans special occasions so I just made it easier if they wanted to exchange.
