In the early morning, when I take my kids to school, I have to make a left at the top of my block. In the winter, I have such horrible, blinding glare that I can't see traffic to the right. I tried the visor, opening the window and sticking my head out, etc, but still can't see. That is a horribly scary thing... My daughter suggested I try sunglasses- will that help?

The lines in my forhead tells the story. I squint and use my hand to shield my eyes. I think your daughter might have the right suggestion. I hate the glare and it is worse when it snows on then the sun pops out. :sunny:

Sunglasses and the visor down help me.

I find that sunglasses work the best for sunglare:sunny:

yes sunglasses do help. I got presription sunglasses several years ago because I find myself wearing those more that my regular glasses, and I live in Indiana!!

Hi... Glare is a huge problem for drivers....

I have worn POLARIZED SUNGLASSES for many years. I can NOT go without them. The anti glare treatment is put on and is an extra cost when ordering my prescription.. but dang it sure is worth it.

Best of luck and drive safely:D :sunny:

I wear sunglasses. I'm suprised that more styles aren't offered year round though. I lost mine for a couple weeks and could not find a suitable replacement since it is winter. I had to wear them the other day just to look out the front door becuase the glare from the snow was so bright!!!

I have Rx sunglasses I keep in my car at all times. They are great for all kinds of weather from sunny to snowy, to driving into a rising sun, and driving into a setting sun. I wouldn't be without them!:D

I totally agree. I spend over $100 on a pair of (non-RX) polarized sunglasses over five years ago and I can't stand to be without them. The amount of glare they cut out is amazing! Well worth the price!

I was going to get those polarized lenses, but part of me said I should, another part of said I should not:jester:

I also wear sunglasses and have a visor extension that is green and cuts out a lot of the glare.

Hi, preciption polarized sunglasses are one of the best investments I've ever made. Helps with the glare off snow here in Mn too.

herc.

A good pair of sunglasses are a must...not only for glare but to protect her eyes from UV rays...:cool1:

Sunglasses with polarized lenses will help a little

POLARIZED work great!!!!!!

I've found a sacrifice to the Sun god RA every morning helpful, usually a glazed donut offered up at the right time does the trick. ! Never mind...just go with the polarized lens I bought a pair 2yrs ago and would never drive without them.:cool2:
