no i dont mean literally - lol
but do you grab a drink in morocco, then a beer in japan then a beer in norway then a beer in germany?
or do you drink as the countries are laid out in world showcase? and hang out in that country until youre finished before moving on?

My husband has it down to a science. Usually we've already hit UK once for Cider/Guiness fish and chips and McD's for kids at an early lunch while we're still exploring Future World. Then we head back to World Showcase (usually around 2:30 or so), head to Canada and get a LaBatt's (is that right)---- then back to the UK for Guiness and Strongbow Cider for his lovely wife (reminds me of my time in London), then he'll start making either runs back to UK or over to American Pavillion for Miller Light while I like Champagne in France and Bellini in Italy. Stop in Germany for whatever is over there (I'm thinking Lowenbrau). Last stop is Mexico (before Illuminations) for Dos Equis for him and Marguerita for me. Thank goodness we don't have to drive in Disney. I'm actually not feeling so well right now thinking about it all. It usually takes us a long time to do that. Plus Dinner somewhere in the mix (usually at LeCellier or Alfredo's). We can spend ALOT of time in World showcase

We go in order...its a tradition to start on the Mexico boat ride with a margarita...then normally break for lunch in Germany and keep moving around...its an all day thing for us...

We also go in order because that’s how it written out on our tee shirts...

We go in order. We are usually staying at an EPCOT resort, so we come in the back gate, start in UK and go from there until we get over to France.

It does take all day. We snack, shop, etc along the way as well.
There is so many different things to try besides beer. We catch some of the wine flights, the specialty drinks.

We skip Japan. We start in Mexico with margaritas and end in UK with a snakebite.

You can take margaritas on the boat ride in Mexico?

That's what I was going to ask too. Also, aren't you guys totally wasted by the time you have a drink in each country? Some of you said it takes all day...does that mean you have maybe a drink an hour? I just can't see having a drink in every place and being able to function! I'd be stumbling around and everyone would be staring at me.

Like mentioned in another post, hardly ever make it out of the UK or Germany.:thumbsup2 During the F&W Festival, you can go around the world of wine( Depending on what wineries are there the day you visit)almost without leaving the building with the free seminars they offer. You will see people get in line early, attend the seminar, hurry out to run around the building to get in line for the next one then repeat the process. Guilty as charged on occasion and finding the countries in WS can be quite a challenge afterwards.:thumbsup2

Its eleven drinks total....yes that is a lot of drinks...so most people skip a country or share at different ones...Can it be done...yes...can everyone do it...No...you have to know yourself and know that its all in fun and to sample what the world has to offer...

As for the boat ride in Mexico...we've never had an issue...
went last Friday ...Not around the world adventure but just for a fun day...and they let us on no problem...Only once did we get asked to finish our beverage first (years ago)...but when we went to leave they let us on anyway

When we were last at Epcot, we were with my Dsis and her family. My BIL and DH said that their goal was to have a beer in every country. Well, my DH kind of chickened out after the first few because he was starting to "feel it" and he knew that he was going to be the one to drive back to our condo. Therefore, he only chose the countries he wanted to try. As for my BIL...well he was a different story...he stuck to his goals and yes he got pretty drunk. It made for an interesting night:eek: Let's just say they will probably not be coming with us to WDW again anytime soon.

We tend to roam around and let the food and the drinks guide us around worldshowcase

I know for myself I cannot mix all the different alcohols - one alcohol drink and the rest beer - Im doing the drinks around the world tour over 7 nights though so before I leave wdw I'll be finished!

Round and round I'll go, and I will stop at all, but where, I just won't know.
I'll be good for the following........
Canada - Molson
UK - Bass
France - Krononbourg
Morocco - Casablanca
Japan - Kirin Ichiban
USA - Sam Adams
Italy - Limoncello shot
Germany - Jager shot or a Spaten
Outpost - Whatever is the beer of the day
China - Tsingtao
Norway - Carlsberg (How I yearn for the days of Ringnes)
Mexico - Lime margarita

We drink in some countries, skip others. Sometimes we might even have 2 or 3 drinks in one place, then move along. We are very flexible. Sometimes, I have a hard time dragging DH out of the Rose and Crown Pub. The man loves his Guinness.

Funny story - One of the first trips DH and I ever had together at WDW, we were drinking around Epcot, and he decided to have a cup of coffee to try to take a break and "sober up." He went into Kringla Bakeri in Norway, and asked for coffee. They asked him if he wanted regular coffee, or Viking coffee. Thinking Viking coffee was super strong coffee, along the lines of an espresso, he ordered the Viking coffee. When he brought it outside to where I was waiting, he asked me to taste it. It must have had 2-3 good shots of booze in it! We laughed, as this was supposed to have been his non-alcoholic, sobering drink. I checked the recent menus for Kringla, and didn't see Viking coffee listed, so I don't know if it is still available. It might not have been what we were looking for, but it was good!

We usually go in order and stop in almost every country for at least one drink. We start in Mexico and finish in the UK. By the time we get to the Rose and Crown we are feeling pretty good and ready to watch Illuminations. This has been our tradition since our first trip to WDW. The only thing I have skipped so far is the USA, (I'm from Boston and can have a Sam Adams any day), Norway and Canada, (I'm not sure why it just always ends up that way). I can't wait to go in May and take my DSis and DBIL on their first trip around the "World". :drinking1 :drinking1
