When does your school let out?

We have had a terrible winter the most cancelled days I can remember 7 so far.

Were from Pa and we were getting out June 5 but now its the 9th, they are taking away 5 scheduled days off including all of Easter break.

I planned our trip for June 6 so I called our school about my son missing the final few days and they said it is fine since we have our flights and tripped booked, the last 3 are half days and all the testing and grades will already be done.

The bright side it could be less crowded the first 2 weeks of June.

So when does your school let out now?

Ours gets out June 17th. We've had a bunch of snow days also, but they will likely be made up by taking away days before school ends or possibly adding a few minutes to the day. I doubt they will add to the end of the year.

Yeah. The trend nationally is to avoid those makeup days being tacked onto the end of the school year. We've lost a few her in the Southeast and they're looking at Saturday and teacher workdays for makeups so that they hold the early June release dates.

Our kids last day is June 13th. Nothing tacked on at end of year though. Kids had school on Presidents Day though. Nothing else has been changed as of yet.

We're in south central PA. They've added some to the end of the proposed end of the year, and taken away some scheduled days off to make up the snow days. The Srs. will graduate on the 6th of June as planned, but right now it's the 10th of June for everyone else. That's IF they don't have to add any more make-up days.

Long Island here. Our scheduled last day is June 27th with no days tacked onto the end. It seems compared to some, we are one of the latest to end the school year. Out of curiosity, when do you go back to school in September?

We start last Monday in August and no week long breaks.

We are in the Orlando area and I believe the kids last day is June 6th. Obviously no snow days here! LOL. The kids go back to school in August.

Our last day this year is June 5th.

We had two ice days here in the Houston area and had to make the first one up this past Monday on President's day and 2nd one is scheduled to be made up on Memorial Day. I'm annoyed about that one as Memorial day is the only day I get a holiday from Jan 1st to July 4th.

I don't know yet. Our county hasn't announced when the make up days will be from last weeks ice storm.

It was supposed to be May 21st. Then extended to May 22nd. Now we've got 4 more days we may or may not have to make up.

If it extends into the week after Memorial Day:

Most of our disney trip will have to be cancelled if not all of it.
DD14 may not be able to play her flute at DTD with her middle school band because she wants to see her big brother walk at high school graduation.

And High school graduation will be later all of which will combine to tick me off when other counties in Georgia have announced they won't be making up the days.

We go back the day after labor day, so we'll be enjoying the kids last week of freedom at Disney.

We were supposed to be out June 12th - So I scheduled our departure date for 6/16.... As of today, with all our snow days, and plenty of time left for more , the last day is at June 18th. I am so sick of this endless winter, I pulled in our trip to Memorial Day week. The kids will only miss 4 days of school...and we will probably still have snow in our yard then.
Take that mother nature for messing with my vacay plans.

We go back the Wednesday right after Labor Day, I believe Sept 3rd. We'll be in Orlando until either the 28th or 29th (haven't decided which day to come home yet. Depends on SWA flights coming out the beginning of March)

Last scheduled day is 5/30. We are on a plane to Orlando 6/1! I am glad our school is just taking away other scheduled days off between now and then and not extending the school year.

LAUSD is out June 5th, and I'm on a plane for MCO on June 6th!

We were scheduled to get out 6/15, but now 6/19. That's typical for us in Maine. Some schools here start the last week in August, but our's starts after Labor Day. We don't tend to make up days in between, just tack on to the end. Last year we got out later.

June 27th here in NYC and since we only used 1 snow day there are no days to make up. Last year we did have to give up president's week due to hurricane Sandy.
