In our area we start second Monday in August- this year was August 8th. We finish the Friday before Memorial Day, this year the 27th. We have Thanksgiving week off, 3 weeks at Christmas, and the 1 week spring break is always the third week in March, regardless of when Easter falls.

I chose other, because kids here start at the end of August and end at the beginning of June.
