I was at our local Walmart yesterday and all the Easter merchandise is 50% off and they have a ton left. Does anyone know how many days after Easter it will be before it goes to 75%?

Prebably after this weekend. They will try to get as mone yas they can over the next few days and then sell 75% next week.

I just got home from my store. Everything was 50% off and they were moving it out of the "Easter" isle to the front of the store. One of the employees said that he thought it was going to 75% off tomorrow.

Oh good. I have to go down that way tomorrow anyway, so I'll check our Walmart out and see what's what. I hope they have some dark chocolate bunnies left - I want to freeze them for cookies.

Walmart clearance levels depend on the individual store and inventory levels. If you live near a Walmart that is horrible on clearance, it will take longer than other Walmarts to lower prices. As an example, around the 2nd week of November some posters said their local Walmarts were 90% off on Halloween items, my local Walmart was still at 50% off. Same with Valentine's Day merchandise, it didn't go to 90% until early March near me and by then basically nothing was left. I think it is because that store is very busy so they figure they don't need to lower prices fast, even after midnight there are usually over 100 cars in the lot.

It's usually 50% off the day after and approx 4 days before it gets to 75% off, depending on what day the holiday was. By the next weekend its almost always 75% off because thats when they do the most business.

My store is at 75% off today! I got some Little People and Matchbox cars. And some candy too! My store had a ton of stuff left!

Our Walmart is terrible about clearance items. Most of the clernace section has been there since Christmas. As their clearnace prices are terrible.

I might have to look into the Little People as we can never have enough of these :)

The matchbox cars were only $0.25!!!!!!!! I bought the only 2 I could find!

I was at our WM before lunch on Tuesday and scored a great deal!

Speckled M&Ms, peanut butter. Originally 2.68 (9.9 oz), 50% 1.34. I had coupons I had picked up week before on the shelf in the candy aisle for $1.00/2 larger bags of M&Ms. So each bag was only .84! I grabbed 4 bags-our family really loves these.

At that time my store still had quite a lot of candy. Not much else though. I didn't see any toys at all. My DSis and I went back at about 4 p.m. the same day (she wanted to get some pb M&M) but sadly there were all gone. There were still a few Peeps left, bunch of jelly beans, tons of Reese's PB eggs. I haven't been there since Tuesday but I'm sure there isn't much left. There were 2 aisles on Tuesday but the whole time I was in the aisle, there were workers keeping everything straight and moving things around. Shrinking the shelf space.

Our Walmart has all the Easter stuff down to 25 cents each (started a few days ago). We only bought 2 new baskets and a pack of the gold and silver eggs to put away. They also had a cart full of different packs of silly bands for 25 cents each so I bought a bunch of those to put away for party favors.

I didn't even think to look for any Little People or Matchbox (didn't seen in the Easter stuff that was all placed up front) so I might have to go back and look through the toy section.

I was in Walmart yesterday and they had an entire row of just egg dye kits. There were also other rows of baskets, candy but very few decorations. One sign said 50% but another said 75%. I did not buy anything so I cannot verify the % off.

I went back into mine today after it had been 25 cents just the day before and now the signs said 90% Off. For most stuff, the 25 cents was a much better deal than the prices now. There wasn't as much left though. I don't think they could have sold it all so not sure where it went. The night before, there had been a HUGE metal rack full of hundreds of egg dye kits and another full of baskets and plastic eggs plus tons of the more boring candy.

I did check the toys for Little People and Matchbox cars. No Little People to be found but they did have the 3 pack of cars in plastic eggs but they were ringing up for $1.25 so I passed.

Finally got to Walmart yesterday afternoon and they still had quite a bit left. We bought some plastic pails - I got blue ones for Dh to use for paint, etc. and I got some cute pink ones with flowers on them to put plants in outside. :)

We also bought a bunch of those cotton candy tubs (24 cents) for ds's graduation party this June. The expiration date is August so if there are any left the kids will gobble them up. I was entertaining the thought of renting a cotton candy machine, but this will be much easier - nobody will have to stand there in the heat and make cotton candy!

I went the other day and bought tons of stuff for 75% off. I goit lots of stuff that I plan on using for my grandson's birthday party as favors and game prizes. they had spin art, suction basketball games, bubble guns, and lots of little things that will make great party favors. I didn't get candy but they had tons.
I also bought a bunch of little round "eggs" that come apart that are shaped like baseballs. My son coaches my grandson's T-ball league and I thought they would be good to pass out to the kids on the last day of games with candy or something cute inside.
