You've booked that category, right? There are 25 of those.

So if you booked a Dedicated 2bd you will get the 2 queens. But it sounds like your questions is more about specific room nbr. I've never seen a room nbr until check-in. If you do online check-in it's all there and waiting for you upon check-in, but honestly I don't know if the room assignment is done at online check-in, or perhaps the morning of the day you check in. The latter would make sense to me, given the fluidity of reservations. You can make a special request if there's a room you want, but there are no guarantees.

They will not tell you the room # until it is ready for occupancy. They will not even tell you at the front desk when you check-in if it's not ready. The assignments are not done at online check-in, most likely the day or night before when they know which rooms will be open that day. People change rooms all the time either by choice or for maintenance reasons, it would be impossible to do earlier than that.

I did a 2 bed room with queens. I have seen layouts and it looks like there are only a few each floor. I was just wondering how they did it.

How they did assignments? It will all depend on which units are vacant on your check in day. There may be several or there may be just one.

As others have said, you will not have access to your room number until your room is cleaned and ready for you. They will not give it to you in advance, nor will they give it to you when you check in if it is not yet ready.

Can you imagine what it would be like if we were able to find out the room number at check in. I sure wouldn't want someone knocking on my door at 8:30 trying to push me along because they arrived early; it's bad enough having housekeeping knocking at 8:00am. And they don't need to be bothered either.

I was given my room number this past weekend as soon as I checked-in at 08:15. I checked into OKW, I informed them in discussions that I was going to F&W at EPCOT, given room number 2414 assignment, went to F&W, and received text message that room was ready @12:30.

I checked into AKV this past Friday and room was not ready. They gave me the resort map with room number written as "78_ _" and said I would receive my room number when the room was ready. On the map they circled the building, told me which floor I was on, marked the elevators and highlighted where I would park. Everything except the specific room number.

And if you check every room numbered 78xx with your KTTW, the doors will all turn red. I tried.

LOL! I wouldn't have cared enough to try that!:rotfl:

It was about 3:30 and we wanted to get into our villa (after an ER visit via ambulance at 1AM until 4AM and only four hours of sleep). And I had tried it several years ago at BCV (with the older door locks) and it worked. ;)

So if you booked a Dedicated 2bd you will get the 2 queens.

BCV has two types of dedicated 2 bedrooms. One with 2 queens and one with a pull out so getting a ded 2 bedroom at BCV does not mean two queens. The ressie with say Ded 2 Bedroom with 2 quuens if that is what the OP got.
