When does the monerail open?

Hi. For our upcoming vacation, we will be staying at the Contemporary Resort. One morning we have an 8:10am breakfast reservation at 1900 Park in the Grand Floridian. I figured the monerail would be the easiest method of transportation and was wondering when it opened. Also what is the easiest method of transportation from HS to the Boardwalk. I heard that you could walk or use another method of transportation other than the bus. Is this true? Thank you for your help.

The resort monorail starts running at 7am. From DHS to BoardWalk you can walk or take the boat.

Do you think it is faster to walk to the Boardwalk and from there walk to Epcot from HS or take the boat or take the bus? Are there signs directing you where to go in order to walk from HS to the Boardwalk and signs directing you where to go in order to take the boat?

There's no bus from DHS to BW, just the boat.

The boats move very slowly and make 2 stops before the BW, so they take just about the same time as walking.

There are signs to the boat dock at DHS, and it's hard to miss once you're pointed in the right direction. Just keep left after exiting the park.

The entrance to the walking path is directly across the lagoon from the boat dock. When you exit the park, don't walk towards the dock; follow the shoreline of the lagoon in the opposite direction around to the far side. There is a small sign right at the entrance to the path. It's near charter bus load zone C-5.

When going from Hollywood Studios to the Boardwalk I woulld say using the walkway there was a lot faster.
