I’m here now and have received zero info from Disney about any of the new changes. Not one notification about outdoor masking, and nothing about increased capacity and park ressies opening up. I only found out from here.
Has capacity increased already? By how much? We leave Thursday so if it’s increased I’m wondering if I’ll see the unwanted effects this week? Thoughts? I still can’t get Studios so I still can’t ride Rise…

Nobody knows this answer.

‘Increased capacity’ can also mean more than one thing. Currently the number they’ve said is 35%.

If they open more dining/attractions it could still be 35% with just more places for people to disperse.

Disney rarely provides numbers so we will probably never really know what actual numbers are.

Bob Chapek admitted last week that Disney has already been increasing capacity. Many noticed an uptick in crowds in the past month or two. There have been several instances of park reservations suddenly opening up across the board, most recently a few days ago. I would be checking the park reservation availability every day to try to snag a HS pass. You never know...

Correct, we are not at 35% any more. The actual percentage is not something Disney "announces" so it is not a surprise you have not seen anything in the app. We only knew about the 35% figure because Chapek mentioned at a Q&A several months ago. Days again, he said they've already been raising capacity above that, and hinted that the new mask/distancing rules would be a game changer for capacity. Sure enough, all the sold out parks went "green" the next couple of months shortly after that Q&A.

Yes capacity rates increased on Thursday of last week. The rumor is that it is now between 50-65%.

Don't look at the Monthly calendar and just try to make a Disney Park Pass reservation. The calendar is static and does not reflect real time status.

DHS had capacity when the capacities were updated but were grabbed quickly as soon as the news spread. Guests with 5 days of only Epcot reservations were very happy with the changes.

We just got back and the crowds seemed pretty similar to when we went in May 2019. We have been going in May for years except of course last year. We thought it may have been a bit less than previous years especially in MK and Studios but not by much.

They didn’t really publicize the option not to mask outside, sine they are easing up on restrictions instead of tightening them.

Also the masking outdoors info pops up when you open the app!
