When does the 30 minute early "perk" begin?

That requires cast members checking, which involves labor and cost. It also slows down people who have to wait to be checked. When it's only 30 minutes extra, people may be bent out of shape by even having to wait a few minutes.

The most passive way to do this would be to let in resort bus/boat/resort monorail arrivals into the parks and hold back the parking lot guests for a few minutes.

Or maybe they will have some new procedure.
If on site guests using the parking lots were held back then this would no longer be considered a perk for on site resort guests. Not sure how this will eventually play out but I personally think 30 minutes is not enough of a benefit. 60 minutes sounds more suitable to actually provide any type of advantage.

They're not gonna reinvent the wheel here. They're gonna use methods they've already used, the cm are there already, they're not hiring extras to do this

and when using it do you just walk past the "public" line and through the checks as usual?
I speculate all this means is that they will be giving Disney transportation users a 30-minute head start over people arriving from parking lots.
If that's the case, the lines will be packed with non resort guest since they don't scan till you get to the tapstyles. Disney is going to have to come up with something better.
Any time I've done morning EMH they scanned at the park entrance, not the rides. They only scanned at the rides for evening EMH. At least in my experience.
At Universal, they allow everyone into the park during the early entry time but you have to show a room key at the queue entrances to the rides that are open. Not everyone at Disney has room keys, but Disney has the capability to scan MBs to show evidence of a resort guest. I believe they used to do this with PM EMH? During that time, everyone was permitted to stay in the park, but you had to scan to be allowed on rides as a resort guest. I would imagine it would be a similar process, just in the morning.

For morning ones they let everyone in and scan mb to let people enter Tomorrowland and Fantasyland. Again this is not rocket science, they've done it before and they know what to do

We don't usually got o AM EMH so I wasn't aware. Never thought it would be complicated. Makes sense this is the approach they will take then, and still goes to my point that people staying onsite should arrive early so they don't waste their 30 minutes just trying to get into the park.

sorry if my "it's not rocket science" came out as extreme sarcasm, just that a lot of people started going off on how they could implement this earl entry when the have done it all along for years now :D I've answered so many questions about this topic in several threads that I think I just got frustrated, apologies

Agreed. Except, this is now at all four theme parks, every single day, rather than just one per day. So, it might require a few more CMs because of that (not sure how many extra CMs if any were needed on EMH mornings to filter guests).

They already have how this will work in place. I read on easywdw.com that at Animal Kingdom even though the blogger was one of the first 20 cars to park, he still waited an hour to go on Flight of Passage because the Disney busses had already been dropping off guests and filled the line.

That is all they have to do.

No because non-resort guests can walk after being dropped off somewhere close. There has to be something to stop non-resorts guests past the parking lots.

Again, they can let everyone in and then filter entry to specific attractions/lands by scanning mb and tickets. This is how it's been done before

Yes, there does have to be something. And there is--same was what they did for EMH:

But I do think there is a valid critique that this will be just a tad trickier and less user friendly than EMH from the guest perspective because the window is so narrow. A short WDW bus delay, difficulty sorting out a magic band that doesn't scan right (this ALWAYS happens to my son for some reason--we've had to replace his MB so many times because even guest services couldn't get it to work), something in the diaper bag triggers the metal detector, needing to stop to rent a stroller or scooter, and poof, your thirty minutes are gone.

Time doesn't impact how people are let in which is the main discussion here. Obviously 30 minutes is worse than an hour, but time won't impact how it's implemented

I wasn't sure when this actually starts or if it has? And when using it do you just walk past the "public" line and through the checks as usual? I am trying to figure out how this works in regards to Hollywood Studios for instance. I didn't know if it raised your boarding pass chances or not.
It would not affect your boarding pass chances because the time to get a boarding pass is 7:00.
