I read one post say 5/16 was the last day to use the 2nd day. Another post said you had to use a 1st day by 5/22 and the 2nd day within the following 30 days (by 6/21).

So what is the deal?

This is straight off Disneylands website.
Purchase a Southern California Resident 2fer Ticket, visit either Disneyland® Park or Disney's California Adventure® Park and come back on another day to the other Park for FREE*!

Double your fun with two days at the Disneyland® Resort for the price of a Single-Day Theme Park Ticket — $66 for Guests ages 10 and above and $56 for children ages three to nine-years-old. That's two full days of magic for just $33 a day! Southern California residents can take advantage of this limited-time offer from now until May 22, 2008.

Experience the magic of The Year of a Million Dreams celebration and enjoy classic Disneyland® Resort attractions old and new — including the extraordinary new adventure Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage!

Pick up your tickets at your local Vons or Pavilions store and bypass the ticket booth!
OR
Purchase your tickets now and print them at home!

It says in small print "Tickets are valid 30 days from first use. First use must occur between January 7, 2008 and May 22, 2008. " So, if you bought the tix, and used it, on the last day May 22, then you have until June 21st to use it for the 2nd day. Hope this clears it up. :goodvibes

(Do you have someone from So Cal who'll be able to purchase tix for you? It's only available for zip codes 90000 to 93599 (So. Ca.) and 21000 to 22999 (Northern Baja). Proof of residency is required. Max. of 8 tix allowed per person, per day.)

Why. Why. Why did they HAVE to extend the end date till the very days that I'm going? *bangs head on desk* If the parks are abnormally crowded on the Monday/Tuesday that I'll be there I will SCREAM.

Can you actually do that - have a local buy the tickets for you and then not have to prove residency at the gate? I can't imagine they've left that loophole open.

I would think most people in So. Ca that are actually interested in DL already have season passes. We are going the 18th-22nd and I imagine there will be a lot of people there but I'm hoping it won't be "abnormally crowded." Almost all kids will still be in school that week anyway.

Oh it's definitely possible. People sell them on ebay all the time but they charge way more than what they bought them for originally. We bought 2fers and no one checked ID at the gate.

just an FYI, we bought our 2fers at the park on Thursday, and my husband handed the ticket taker both our tickets and the ticket taker checked his id when going into DLR.
