When does Storm Along Bay open and close??

I would love to go at night... when there may not be as many people... does anyone have any idea??

Also, are there parts that seem to be more "adult oriented"??

SAB opens about 9am and stays open until 10 o 11pm during certain times of the year (mostly summer). It is definitely less crowded at night.

There is a sandy beach area that is more geared towards smaller children because it is no more than 2 feet deep. The more adult areas would be the lazy river, slide area and whirlpool area of the pool.

SAB is the pool complex for YC, BC, and BCV guests. It's really two giant pools that are really close together--the BC side has the slide from the pirate ship and the whirlpool; the YC side has the lazy river and the kiddie pool is on that side, too. There are parts with a sand bottom, even parts where there is sinking sand. The kiddie part has a sand beach for castles and so forth. I read somewhere (I think) that the total area is about 2-1/2 acres. The lifeguards definitely were on wristband patrol for the time I was there (last week). I forgot my room key once, and they asked me to go back and get it...and of course our room was about as far away as you can get from the pool... (so I got another key made at the front desk!). It was a nice and lazy vacation!

If we are staying at another Disney Resorts, is it possible to pay a certain "fee" and get a wrist band to use the SAB?

By far, I prefer swimming at night, before going to bed.
One year when I was at the BC in December, they closed SAB at only 7 pm. I was terribly dissappointed.

The hours of SAB will remain the same until after Labor Day.... After Labor Day (I don't know which day quite yet) the pool will be open for 10 hours each day from 10am-8pm. As of right now SAB is open from 9am-10pm.

WDWfan, I will be at yacht concierge also!! When will you be there?? We will be there on Friday the 29th for three nights!

So we will be there Oct. 9-16, does that mean the pool will close at 8pm? Bummer! Will they kick you out if me and dh want to go sit in the hot tub around 9 or 9:30?

yes they will kick you around if you went into the hot tub around that time and the pool area is closed... but i have to say, that is only in the SAB area... Most people tend to forget that there are quiet pools at all three resorts: Yacht Club, Beach Club, and Beach Club Villias. There are also hot tubs at each of these quiet pools. But wait, there's more!!! These pools are open 24 hours which means that you can go to those areas whenever you want!
