When Does School Get out?

I live in the NE. When do schools get out in other parts of the country??

Just wondering how busy it will be late April thru May... Never been in the Spring before...

It doesn't start to get more crowded until after Memorial Day. Late April through most of May is very manageable.

I'm in the NE also, but we get out 6/15 barring any snow days.

Here in the west (Nevada, Arizona, California) Most of our school get out around June 7th or 8th. You should be fine!!

Tennessee here : they get out May 19th (has been earlier)
they go back the 1st week of August

This IMHO is STUPID. Why oh why would you put them in school the hottest month of the year? (I'm a PA girl -- who never went back to school until Labor Day)

I'm torn on this, I LOVE that we get out early and can go to Disney before the crowds get bad, but August 8th seems way to early to go back.

June 6th and 7th here in CO... is when our kidos get out!

There's no such thing as an entire state or section of the country having the same school schedule.

School schedules are decided by individual school districts. New Jersey alone has over 600 school districts. Heck, I live on a small island and we have 3 school districts here, and they don't all follow the same calendar. Different breaks, different first days and last days, some have off Columbus Day, some have off Jewish holidays, one has off for Muslim holidays, etc.

Our kids get out May 24, and we're leaving for WDW that night!

I have never been during those times but I have been told that during spring break (Weeks before, during and after Easter) are VERY busy! Our schools get out for the year in mid June and go back in Aug. but spring break I thought was packed, at least from what i was told!

We went during Spring Break and will go again this year and although the crowds were big we never felt it! We use TGM and even if you don't the key is to have a plan and even busy times can be fun.

We are in East TN and my son gets out May 24th this year!

June 1st for NE wisconsin. June 7th in Northern michigan. may 23 for UW- may 24 for the tech. And May 11th for me

Just out of curiousity, we are going May 19-26....Does anyone know what the crowds will be like? We have been in August and June, so hopefully this won't be any worse.

Here in West Texas most of our schools will be out by June 1st. We leave for WDW on June 4th.

Here in eastern NC, my DD gets out June 9th.

Here in central Va., schools get out on June 6. We usually have several snow days to make up which takes us into mid-June but it looked like winter is passing us by this year!

We get out June 1st but my DNiece and Dnephew get out sometime in May and they are just across town.
