I am going to book a towncar/ limo from the Grand Floridian to Port Canaveral to get to our cruise. We are concierge and can arrive at any time. We want to arrive at the earliest time possible. What time do they let us start the boarding process? What time do you suggest I schedule the towncar to pick us up at The Grand Floridian?

Thank you!!

The port opens to passengers at 10:30am, boarding typically begins around 11:15am. Be aware there are reports that many of the private limo services won't pick-up with plans to arrive any earlier than 11am, so be sure to ask.

Enjoy your cruise!

Thank you! Does anyone recommend a specific limo company that will allow us to arrive at 10:00-10:30?

It is not so much the limo company but the port that does not let the limos in before a certain time. The port area gets crazy in the mornings with people leaving and new people arriving (same area for people being picked up and people being dropped off by shuttle, taxi, limo, etc). I believe they try to minimize the chaos by not letting limos in until a certain time....but as mentioned above, check with your limo company.

I called Happy Limo and they said that if we have a port arrival time before 11:00 that we could enter. We are concierge so we can arrive as early as we want so thy should let us through I think... Does this sound right? Thank you!!

caution

there are MANY reasons why boarding can be delayed .....

DO NOT assume the early times mentioned here .....

all you need is one small 'customs problem' or a USCG inspection and off you go .....

Typically they start boarding the ship in Port Canaveral 11:15-11:30.
There have been a few times over the years that something happened and the ship has been late getting to port and boarding has been delayed.
A few months ago there was heavy fog. It was well reported on these boards and Disney emailed people of the delay.
So just check the morning of your departure and you should be ok.

We used happy limo a few years ago. We had the earliest pat and there was no problem with us entering the port to be let out.

Port entry and building entry 2 different things. Our cruise this past February they did not allow access into the building until almost 11:00 and B2B's re-boarded at 11:10. There was no issue with the ship arriving that morning, just happened to be the times things happened. They did not open the Concierge / Platinum desk until about 11:15 and then only had 1 agent. Concierge began boarding close to noon.

I get picked up at my Disney Resort by 8:45 a.m.

It's a good time even if you are making a quick stop at the grocery store for wine or beer.

When they get you to the port, you will hand your luggage off to the porter staff.

Get in line with maybe a 30 minute wait. They usually let you in the lower gate by 10:30 a.m.

You will be through security and be at the Concierge Desk within minutes of entering the lower gate.

I have used Sunrise Florida Transportation - www.transportationflorida.com

and Orlando Chauffeured Services - https://orlandochauffeuredservices.com/secure/two-transfers

both with no issues what so ever.

Have a Great Cruise.
