When does Mickey start meet-and-greet?

We will be in Fantasyland for the first hour after an 8 a.m. opening on a Monday morning that is of course a Mickey's Toon Town Morning Madness. We have the MTTMM passes but may not use them that particular morning depending on the answer to my question.

I know the little show they do to "open" Toontown starts at like 20 minutes after the hour. I think you can do some of the TT attractions during/after this (confirm?)

The real (longwinded:rolleyes:) question is what time Mickey starts doing the photo meet-and-greets at his Toontown house -- right on the (second) hour at 9 or before. Is there already a long line at that point from people who have come in using their MTTMM passes?

Meeting Mickey is always a highlight of our first morning, but I'm torn between using the whole first hour in Fantasyland or avoiding a mega-line to see the Mouse.

TIA,

So no one on this vast board with oodles of knowledge ever went into ToonTown an hour after the park opened (at the end of MTTMM) and got into line to see Mickey?

Help me out here, please?

Anyone? Bueller?;)

Our experiece was.....
We went in April to MTTMM. After everything and the show which was still before official toontown opening, we went around to all the attractions and got in line for RRabbit. By the time we got out, we noticed people were lining up for mickeys house but there was a sign that Mickey wasn't home. So we bailed because we had already met Mickey and everyone else at the beginning of MTTMM, and no way wanted to stand in line when he wasn't there.
So I couldn't tell you if that is how it always goes or if it was a fluke he wasn't home or when he normally gets home.
Sorry I couldn't be more helpful other than to tell you people started to line up before official opening.

I have ride max and it puts waiting to see Mickey at 30-35 minutes on a Friday AROUND THE 12:30 time.

Not what you were asking, but that's all I know.

If you tell me what day you will be there, I could put it into Ride Max as the only attraction and see what time it says to go.

PS If you don't use your vouchers, I am top of the list to get them on the thread:)

I have been before, and don't really care, but this next trip I am taking my best friend and her little 5 year old and it is their first trip to DL.

Let me know if I can help in the above way.

Regardless of the wait, we'll probably spend the first hour of the Monday (Oct 12) in Fantasyland and hit the big stuff, then head back to ToonTown for Mickey-meeting. I just wanted to psych myself up if it was going to be a really long wait going right after MTTMM ended, or if everyone would have already met Mickey.

I will definitely have some extra MTTMM tickets after we come back no matter what. We have some adult couples in our extended party who won't care to use them, so I will collect and play Santa!

Did you see my recent post somewhere, or posts by others on mouseplanet, that some have been able to buy the "extras" included in WDTC travel packets for $10 each over at the WDTC office in DTD? Includes those vouchers, lanyard/pin vouchers, etc etc. Worth a try!

OP, I haven't done what you're asking about.

But Iv'e been in TT for MTTMM on a day that it started pouring down rain during the little opening ceremony thing. Everyone ran for cover, and cover meant Mickey's House. It took AGES to get through his house, and that's just with the voucher-holding people in there.

I probably would assume that Mickey will probably be out near-ish City Hall on your way into the parks, and stop to say "hi" to him. He's sometimes delayed getting to his house in TT because he has such a crowd near City Hall. Then if he's out and I've seen him, then I would head on into FL.

If he's not, and it's super-important to your family to see him that first morning, then go ahead and use your vouchers that day, perhaps after a trip through the skies of London (or whatever's most important to you in FL).

We want to see Mickey that first morning, but I'm not as keen on the little show and using that precious first hour in ToonTown. I'm thinking we'll do Peter Pan, Dumbo, teacups, and maybe one more and then head back into ToonTown. If it's still MTTMM, we'll use the passes to get a head start, if not, we'll hold them for another day or to give on DIS. I don't mind a medium wait for Mickey, walking through the house and screening room, but I don't want it to eat up the whole morning.

Thanks for the info,
